The Captain's Hat was worn by Strong Bad while he was being interviewed by himself in the Strong Bad-Type Interview Progrum in the email pizzaz. It is reminiscent of the hat worn by Popeye.
Strong Bad, when asked why he was dressed like a ship's captain, responded that he either saw or read or heard it from The Cheat that it was the latest style. This turned out to absolutely not be the case.
Strong Bad later wore the Captain's Hat while being photographed in modeling.
