Silhouettes are the image of a person, object, or scene as a solid color, usually black. In the Homestar Runner universe, silhouetted characters are usually seen at night, presumably due to backlighting caused by moonlight. They are commonly used in all the Halloween teasers in order to hint at the costumes that the main characters are wearing.

These characters are only seen silhouetted.
Notable Appearances
- Fluffy Puff Commercial — pressing "l" makes a silhouetted Abraham Lincoln appear. The same silhouette is shown in Everybody to the Limit.
- Dangeresque 3 — In a monolouge by Perducci, a silhouette of Killingyouguy is shown, playing off the stereotypical tease of the main antagonist's plan to stop the protagonist. It is later revealed in the post-credits scenes that The Cheat had simply painted Strong Mad using black paint in order to create a silhouette.
