To be diggity-deleted

I can maybe accept the page itself - though that's debatable. But that "Blackstreet" ref has gotta go. It's too general a... word?... to pin down to them specifically. --Jay (Gobble) 19:26, 16 October 2008 (UTC)

A quick search reveals that a song called Hot Diggity (Dog Ziggity Boom) was published in 1956. I doubt that's the earliest "diggity" but the point is that It's laughable to think the word originated with a 1996 song. I'm killing the supposed reference to "No Diggity". I just noticed that the Wikipedia article for "Hot Diggity (Dog Ziggity Boom)" does claim that: "The song was the source of the phrase, "hot diggity dog!", an expression of great delight which was popular in the 1950s and 1960s."
