Fretmagic is a music magazine in Free Country, USA. Homestar tried selling Fretmagic, Teen Fretmagic, and Fretmagic Kids! for a free trip to Acapulco in the Strong Bad Email privileges, but the magazines ended up getting scorched by The Cheat with the BMW Lighter.
The guitar on the cover of Fretmagic is the Flying V, an actual guitar made by Gibson. There is an article in Fretmagic about Gary Palroncini from Staten Island, NY, about how he mastered the hardest chord ever on an Ibanez G800-XV. "Vee" in The Flying Vee, is probably a spoof of Coach Z first being called Coach "Zee" in Where My Hat Is At?
