:::We can't say for sure that the 42 occurrences can be attributed to HHGTTG, so we should not include them. And without them, there is only one reference left, which would mean that the article is currently not warranted. And I agree with Dot com that we don't need an article for the number 42, as it does not appear that the number is used in particularly unusual contexts.{{User:Loafing/sig}} 00:56, 1 January 2009 (UTC)

::::::But this is really an article about the number 42 than The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. [edit] The Green Guy

The green guy only appears on the covers of a specific edition (or editions) of the book. Unfortunately, I've not been able to determine which edition does have it (only several editions that don't) - my search fu is weak. It might be an idea to make a mention of which edition/s has/have it. --Belthazar 22:06, 31 December 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Inclusion

Edit conflicted! I don't know if all of these instances of the number 42 are references to the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. We have no proof that they are, and there is no point in crating an article when all but one of its appearances are speculations. We could possibly create an article on the number 42 though. I was thinking of making a similar suggestion. BBG 22:19, 31 December 2008 (UTC)
I think the mentions of the number 42 are coincidences (and thus shouldn't count for this article). (The number 42 doesn't need its own article either). — It's dot com 23:29, 31 December 2008 (UTC)
We can't say for sure that the 42 occurrences can be attributed to HHGTTG, so we should not include them. And without them, there is only one reference left, which would mean that the article is currently not warranted. And I agree with Dot com that we don't need an article for the number 42, as it does not appear that the number is used in particularly unusual contexts. Loafing 00:56, 1 January 2009 (UTC)
