Craig at the NYU Talk

Roger Craig Zobel is a friend of The Brothers Chaps and a shareholder in homestarrunner.com. He currently resides in New York. He and Mike Chapman wrote the original Homestar book back in 1996 (which was remade as Strongest Man in the World for Homestar Runner's ten-year anniversary). A Jumping Jack Contest credits him as a co-creator of Homestar Runner alongside Mike Chapman. He also helped write Where's The Cheat? and Homestarloween Party.

Zobel designed the covers for the strongbad_email.exe DVD box set and appeared in a short film in the DVD bonus feature Puppets on the Road. He also designed the Everybody Everybody Poster, as mentioned by Mike at the 2005 NYU Talk.

Craig has provided the voices of Cherry Greg and the Kevin who leaves messages in Marzipan's Answering Machine Versions 6.0 and 17.2. He is also the eponym for Coach Z, as a friend would sometimes call him "Coach Zobel".

According to Matt Chapman in the DVD commentary for replacement, Craig's "favorite thing ever on our website is [...] when Bubs attacks Strong Bad” in that email.

Zobel and The Brothers Chaps have worked together on multiple film projects. Zobel was Unit Production Manager on All the Real Girls (2003), while Mike worked in the art department and Matt had a small on-camera role. He directed the feature film Great World of Sound (2006), which was produced by Missy Palmer and executive produced by the Brothers Chaps. Craig since then has directed several other films and TV shows, including the movie Compliance and the Emmy-nominated series Mare of Easttown.
