Dear A Trendy Tote Bag, research has shown ([http://people.howstuffworks.com/swearing.htm read about it]) that swearing occurs in a different part of the brain from normal speech. So they're not just words. Moreover, as a culture, we have defined several levels of what kind of words are permissible in a given context, ranging from absolutely nothing vulgar on down to stuff that would make a sailor blush. Because this wiki is geared toward documenting a site that itself largely abstains from swearing, we have therefore chosen to do so as well, and thus the word that you (barely) censored would not be appropriate on almost all of the wiki's talk pages. Incidentally, that discussion was over ten months old, so I doubt Gir007 will see your reply. Anyways, talk atcha later. — [[User:It's dot com|It's dot com]] 03:06, 30 December 2006 (UTC)

Ah, my bad... Sorry...  I tend to be the impulsive-type who jmps in without reading the manual first.  I tend do d okay except when things like this happen.  I'll go read the thing, and then that other thing... Incidentally, what's the chance that they'll do some research as to what words get lodged in that part of the brain anyways? It's help clear up the whole crap issue...  (And once again my childhood somehow manages to smack me upside the back o' the head). --[[User:A Trendy Tote Bag|A Trendy Tote Bag]] 03:36, 30 December 2006 (UTC)

I've seen notes attached to some of the SBemail articles claiming that it was sent in by "our very own such-and-such." Do you have to say what you sent in ahead of time? I dunno who to ask or where to ask, and I'm prolly too lazy to find out, but I sent one in asking who else lives around there, so if one like that gets done, I'll pipe up if it's mine.--A Trendy Tote Bag 20:03, 19 December 2006 (UTC)

Swear words

Dear A Trendy Tote Bag, research has shown (read about it) that swearing occurs in a different part of the brain from normal speech. — It's dot com 03:06, 30 December 2006 (UTC)
