Listerine is a brand of mouthwash that Coach Z occasionally gets drunk on. He was first seen drinking it in The Best Decemberween Ever, where he offered it to Homestar Runner.
In senior prom, because Pom Pom was at a cooler private prom, Homestar had to drink some down, then gurgle to act like Pom Pom, to accept the prom king award.
It is possible to get drunk by the heavy consumption of Listerine, but the denatured state of the alcohol in it probably would cause the drinker to regurgitate before it could take effect.
