In the Homestar Runner Universe (or at least in Strong Bad's imagination about the past) the comma was named after Sir Loodabert Comma, who is pictured here with his sherpa. The exact time period in which he lived is unknown, though it was evidently around the time that The Castlefunnies came out.
Sir Loodabert is portrayed by Matt Chapman, with Mike as "sherpa".
Sir Loodabert Comma and sherpa is a reference to Sir Edmund Hillary and his Sherpa Tenzing Norgay. In 1953, they were the first men to reach the summit of Mount Everest.
