Mustachioed Homestar Runner
Well I guess this email answers the question about whether Mustachioed Homestar Runner was a unique character or not. Now we know that he at least has the same voice as Homestar. And I imagine that this is the first time we can actually see him without having to view the toon from its Flash file directly. —THE PAPER PREEEOW 00:50, 9 Aug 2005 (UTC)
- Could that be Fabrosi? Strong Bad mentioned that he was probably out lady-ing with a fake mustache. -- 71.34.147.24 20:37, 8 Aug 2005 (MDT)
Maybe Homestar wrote in using Fabrosi as a pseudonym...
Stocks and Stipes Forever
Toward the end of the email, Strong Bad says stocks are up and stipes are down. According to dictionary.com, a 'stipe' is "A supporting stalk or stemlike structure, especially the stalk of a pistil, the petiole of a fern frond, or the stalk that supports the cap of a mushroom". It's a bit of an unfamiliar word, I bet, so someone may want to add it to the Fun Facts. Just make sure no one alludes 'stocks' to being like 'stalks'. That's a bit too much of a stretch. --DorianGray
- I agree. TBC is very good at making such obscure allusions to things that require a bit more knowledge to know about. From the definition it sounds like it correlates perfectly, too. --64.164.69.221 10:05, 9 Aug 2005 (UTC)
- I have added the definition to Real-world references and changed stocks to stalks. --[User:Eman|Eman]
- I changed it back. Strong bad types stocks. -- tomstiff 18:39, 9 Aug 2005 (UTC)
Stipes, TBC and Georgia
I'm surprised the no one has mentioned Michael Stipe since TBC are from Georgia and so is ... oh, never mind! -- tomstiff 18:43, 9 Aug 2005 (UTC)
Buisness/Ab-Abber
I don't feel confident to put this on the main page, but is it possible he says "buisness"? And I'm a little surprised no one's tried to note the similarity between his appearance when he says "muscular" and the handiwork of the Ab-Abber 2000 (granted, not identical; he HAS pecs here).--notstrongorbad
Homestar's pants inside reference
I disagree with Homestar's talk of pants being an inside reference to long pants. It is a "reference" to the fact that one of Strongbad's tips was to wear tight pants. It shouldn't be in the reference list at all, so I'm taking it out. --bw 20:25, 9 Aug 2005 (UTC)
- Don't put a note here. STUFF it. — It's dot com 20:29, 9 Aug 2005 (UTC)
Kicking The Cheat
Don't we have enough for this to be a bona fide running gag? Namely:
- little animal.
- Strong Bad threatens to kick The Cheat a couple times at the end of caper.
- He tells Homestar to give The Cheat (hiding under the box)a "swift kick in The Cheat" in replacement.
- He also mentions "Kickin' Cheats 'till the day I die" in replacement.
- This email.
