::::Just to clarify:  the song Homestar sings in anything is the same tune as the themesong from The Neverending Story;  that's an objective fact that can be demonstrated by anyone who knows musical notation.  If a bunch of people came in saying "I think it sounds like the theme from Night Court!" and "No, it's totally 'Yesterday' by the Beatles!" and "Wait, I could swear I heard that tune in a Bach fugue somewhere" and "Are you sure it isn't from Merzbow's new album?", that wouldn't make it TTATOT.  It would still actually be a reference to The Neverending Story, and all those other people would just be wrong.

-
:::::No, it's not the same.  It's starts the same, but the end is different enough to make it obviously not the same.-- 08:30, 20 February 2008 (UTC)

-
::::::I think you misread me.  I'm talking about the song in anything ("The neverending soda"), not the one in licensed.  I was using it as an example of a clear, indisputible reference, to make a more general point about the definition of "TTATOT."  This new one isn't a clear, indisputible reference to anything I've heard, although obviously I haven't heard everything.

::::There are a lot of unsigned posts here, but I am making the judgement that this is a TTATOT connection, and unless a really positive match arises for this to be a parody of, it's not anything. 09:51, 20 February 2008 (UTC)

-
::I think the above people are onto something with the Flintstones Kids theme.  For those who have knocked it, to clarify: this is referring to the 90's cartoon show, not the vitamin jingle, which is nothing alike.  The idea's not too far-fetched, and we know TBC have heard of it from the TGS 7 commentary.  Shall maybe everyone give it a listen to be sure?  I'm pulling it out of a decade-old memory here, avoiding listening to the link, and I think it's a fair match.  Should they be doing it from memory, like I am, isn't a teeny bit of off-keyness expected?  Plus, I mean...it's Homestar.  He's flat allthedang time. -- Onamuji 14:14, 20 February 2008 (UTC)

-
::: Yes, it sounds sort of kind of almost like the Flintstone Kids theme song, but it sounds as much like everything else mentioned above.  I vote for TTATOT. Stev0 14:57, 20 February 2008 (UTC)

-
::::The most convincing thing here is "walking on broken glass" which i have never heard, so i don't know if it sounds like it or not, but makes sense as it's ABOUT broken glass... 16:00, 20 February 2008 (UTC)

-
::::::I have to go with "Walking on Broken Glass," too.  Yes, the tune HR sings has similarities to other tunes as well (which can't really be avoided, it's essentially "three notes, pause, three notes, pause, etc)", taking the subject matter of that song into account, it'd be too big of a coincidence to ignore, imo. -DAGRON 22:35, 20 February 2008 (UTC)

-
:::::::But "Walking on Broken Glass" goes note, up a note, down a note (ie, same as the first).  Homestar's song goes note, note, down a half note (except for the first "Broken glass" which admittedly has almost the same pattern, ie note, up a note, down a half note). Stev0 01:42, 21 February 2008 (UTC)

-
::::::::I agree that it's not exactly the same, which is why I'm actually more hesitant than my first post makes me out to be, looking at it again. -DAGRON 03:15, 21 February 2008 (UTC)

-
:::::::::Juys. I'm that age where I know all these tunes. It's not any of them. At all. Trust me. I cannot yet divine what, if anything, that tune refers to. (Are you aware I perform and figure out songs professionally?) 04:04, 21 February 2008 (UTC)

As for your remark at Talk:isp, when you wondered why 152/38=4, Strong Mad, the one affected by the helium, is the fourth character to appear in the email. Same goes for this email: 190/38=5, The Cheat is the fifth character to appear. If your going to do numerology, do it the right way ;) Still, it's just a coincidence. == Disney??? ==

-

-
It never once even crossed my mind that the DVDs shown were based on Disney sequels as the fact currently states (I reverted an edit that expanded the "reference" thinking it added it, until I looked closer.) It looks more like the bad Disney knockoffs that sit near the checkout stand in many department stores, that almost always have the same (or similar) subject as contemporary Disney movies. That fits better with the context of the email's theme, too. -- 20:42, 12 November 2008 (UTC)

-
:Agreed. It's got nothing to do with the disney sequels, and everything to do with the knockoffs. That's the point of this email in the fist place. 20:57, 12 November 2008 (UTC)

DeFender, can I ask you to make up your mind about the subject?  Earlier, you said, "Could be a reference to all the crappy sequals...", but here you say, "It's got nothing to do with the disney sequels...", so I tried to remove it from the Wiki's Disney article, but you reminded me not to remove "legitimate content".  Do you or do you not think it's a parody of Disney sequels? 01:40, 10 February 2009 (UTC)

Coach Z's Hand
-

-
I was watching this on my DVD and noticed that Coach Z's hand must have been made in the same flash image as the pinata and string because, as it (the pinata) swings, his hand rotates. Is this a goof like it was done just to make animating easier, or is this supposed to happen. I watched this on my tv, so it's kinda harder to see on the computer. Viewing the flash file helps. I don't know if I'm just confused or if this is a real fun fact.Strong Bad says that one of the requirements in order to sell unlicensed products of him and The Cheat, one of them must have a human nose, but of of their products show them without human noses.I think this is notable. 01:08, 28 April 2010 (UTC)

:Well, yeah, he says that a requirement to sell unlicensed stuff is that one of them has to have a human nose.  He never says that characters in the products have to have human noses. ::Erm, I don't think either of those really apply, StrongAwesome. Anyway, on the DVDs, The Cheat has weird noses, but not HUMAN noses. == Twice? ==

I think it should be footnoted that Coach Z (in my opinion) may have said "Hey Strong Bad look, you're toys!". I just can't hear twice, although I hear the W, I don't hear the I. --Still Homsar 16:12, 2 June 2010 (UTC)

-
:I happen to agree. Toys also makes more sense contextually. --DorianGray 20:13, 2 June 2010 (UTC)

-
::The Coach's accent is a little hard to hear clearly, but in the DVD version, it's clearly "twice". Seeing as it's a pinata, and it's made to look like Strong Bad, both "toys" and "twice", respectively, don't make perfect sense, but you can hear "twice" clearly. 20:28, 2 June 2010 (UTC)

-
:::Still, taking Coach Z's accent, it could be Toys, as I can only hear a slight W, and I'm listening at 90% volume. It could, at least, be placed as a footnote, until we get some sort of confirmation. --Still Homsar 20:43, 2 June 2010 (UTC)

-
::::Twice. the last sound isn't voiced enough for it to be "toys". and as for not making perfect sense, that's what this is for. 21:13, 2 June 2010 (UTC)

-
:::::I knew this'd be exactly what'd happen, I'm just saying it kinda sounds like it, and the page Twice doesn't make it make sense, since Twice makes sense in other contexts, but saying Toys would still make sense, as he is holding a Strong Bad toy, and that he is in form of one. Although Twice also makes sense as he is referring to duplication, so that's why I suggested a footnote. --Still Homsar 21:45, 2 June 2010 (UTC)

-
::::::Well, we scarcely use footnotes, and only when there's never a clear consensus, and and as a last option. We never think footnote as the first thing to do. 22:23, 2 June 2010 (UTC)
