Currently, the store lists the Strong Bad overkill combo as being '''$63.95''' separately.  I don't know about anyone else, but I do the math as follows: <small>Strong Bad Emails 3 Disc DVD Set</small> '''$29.95 +''' <small>Strong Bad Emails Disc 4 DVD</small> '''$12 +''' <small>Strong Bad Emails Disc 5 DVD</small> '''$12 +''' <small>Strong Bad Sings CD</small> '''$12 = $65.95'''.  I don't quite know how to phrase a goof like this, so I invite some talented soul to do so.  {{User:OptimisticFool/sig}} 04:15, 14 January 2008 (UTC)

:It's a common practice to throw in a small discount on combo packs in stores to sell the items... otherwise, why buy the combo, instead of just buying the individual items? -[[User:StarLion|StarLion]] 15:06, 18 January 2008 (UTC)

-
::Wait... reread your post, and think I may have the answer... it's '''still''' a goof, though! Take out the price for the Strong Bad Sings CD (Note that the store says "'''FREE'' Strong Bad Sings CD"), and you get $'''5'''3.95 as the price individually. Still a goof, but just a 5 instead of a 6. -[[User:StarLion|StarLion]] 15:18, 18 January 2008 (UTC)

-
:::<s>I think combo prices usually charge a bit '''more''' than usual prices, since they know some people will buy them no matter what the price. {{User:Homestar-winner/sig}} 15:49, 18 January 2008 (UTC)</s>

-
:::Oh, nevermind. I get what you're saying. I think that TBC are still counting the CD's price as it is still included in the combo, free or not. {{User:Homestar-winner/sig}} 15:52, 18 January 2008 (UTC)

-
I got this response from the Customer Support team over at the store:

-
<tt><blockquote>The "$63.95 Separately" price was for during the holidays when the CD was on sale for $10. We forgot to change it once the sale was over. Thanks for letting us know.</blockquote></tt>

So... there's the mystery solved! -[[User:StarLion|StarLion]] 16:13, 18 January 2008 (UTC)

-
:That had been my suspicion; I knew the CD had been available for $10.  (That's why I made [http://www.hrwiki.org/index.php?title=Store&diff=prev&oldid=516218 this revert].)  But you cheated by writing them!  =]  Oh, but now that I think of it, the "separate" price for the Everything Else combo is wrong, too!  I hope they notice that, too.  Anyway, I'm not going to keep checking their prices.  It's just not that interesting to note in articles about these little goofs, now that I think of it.  =]  {{User:OptimisticFool/sig}} 17:21, 18 January 2008 (UTC)

Homsar currently winning with 63%. Do we want to just update the number on this page and be done with it, or archive every nearly identical message? Basically is incompleteness or redundancy preferable? {{User:ACupOfCoffee/sig}} 01:03, 9 February 2008 (UTC)

-
:I think completeness is the best option.  To that end, I have {{pl|l=http://www.hrwiki.org/index.php?title=Store&diff=542387&oldid=540561 updated}} the store entry and {{pl|l=http://www.hrwiki.org/index.php?title=Store_Front_Page_News_2008&diff=542388&oldid=539526 archived}} the change. Hope that this is a suitable solution. --[[User:Stux|Stux]] 07:44, 9 February 2008 (UTC)

Sample of my proposed format for the Time of Day / Seasons table.  Original format below.  This saves a lot of screen space and makes a lot of sense, in my mind.  By the way, Record307, I don't understand what you mean by "put next to the boxes" [[User:LobStoR|LobStoR]] 01:52, 10 April 2009 (UTC)

::That's what i meant, that's fine.--{{User:Record307/sig}} 02:18, 10 April 2009 (UTC)

-
:::So you basically meant the second one, which is how it was on the page prior to the new-format table.  I put both here on the talk page to illustrate the screen-space that could be saved with the smaller table... Plus some people might want to see (for instance) all of the summer shots together, so the horizontal-only grouping doesn't really make sense, which is another reason that I think the smaller table is a good choice.  [[User:LobStoR|LobStoR]] 02:28, 10 April 2009 (UTC)

Isn't this... er.. an illegal raffle? Offering a chance to win, that you have to purchase something to get a crack at.. and the more you purchase the more chances you get.. that can't be legal. I don't want the bros to get in trouble, should someone let them know?

-
:Why would you think it's illegal? What law does it violate? {{User:DeFender1031/sig}} 23:46, 18 June 2009 (UTC)

-
::Well, thinking on it, most raffles ''do'' say something like, "No purchase necessary to enter" .. I dunno.  But it's not really up to us to worry about that, anyway.  {{User:OptimisticFool/sig}} 23:50, 18 June 2009 (UTC)

-
:::From [[Wikipedia:Raffle|Wikipedia]]: "The raffle involves many people buying tickets for a chance to win a certain prize or prizes." Purchasing an item is just another way to buy a ticket. Case closed, until someone deems that the current [http://rafflefaq.com/united-states-raffle-laws/ laws] prohibit it. {{User:ColdReactive/sig}} 03:16, 22 June 2009 (UTC)

Should it be mentioned anywhere on this page (preferably [[Store#Local Business Area Stores|here]]) that the {{pl|l=http://www.homestarrunnerstore.com/storelocator.html store locator}} has some questionable status on its existence? :I was going through the store after I did work with the Trogday Sale and noticed the exact same thing. ::Seems like it would be a simple matter of saying "This page has ceased to exist since '''insert date here.'''" Although if someone perchance downloaded a recent HTML file, it could be put on a mirror on the servers. {{User:MichaelXX2/sig}} 21:51, 11 January 2011 (UTC)

:::I would go with "On or before" to be more specific. I'm trying to see if the Web Archive has an archive of it but right now it's hanged. Oh wait, it stopped. And that page on the newer domain isn't archived. ... Looks like it's been archived under the new domain: http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://homestarrunner.stores.yahoo.net/storelocator.html. I doubt it's really that important that it be stored on our local mirror. ==Move current "Store" page to "Yahoo_Store" and replace "Store" with the Shopify Store==

The Homestar Runner store is moving as can be seen at http://www.homestarrunner.com/store.html to the new Shopify Shop that TBC and now using. [[User:Catjaz63|Catjaz63]] 00:46, 24 March 2015 (UTC)

:I found a link to the old one!! http://www.homestarrunnerstore.com/ goes to the Yahoo Store. {{User:Gfdgsgxgzgdrc/sig‎}} 22:19, 26 March 2015 (UTC)

-
::Yeah, it appears that homestarrunnerstore still goes to the Yahoo Store. However, the fact that the regular site now links to the Shopify means that they're replacing the old store. Also, there appears to be some inconsistency issues with items in stock. The Yahoo store says that the Strong Bad Sings CD is still in stock, however the Shopify store says otherwise. However, should we move the current Store page to Yahoo_Store and make the Store page about entirely the Shopify store? I'd do it myself, however I feel I'll mess up. [[User:Catjaz63|Catjaz63]] 02:56, 27 March 2015 (UTC)

-
:::Gfdgsgxgzgdrc - that link is already on this page.<br>Catjaz - we generally have a discussion about these things before making such a drastic move, and you've already started that discussion correctly. We'll need a fairly large consensus (which could take some time to achieve), and there are several alternatives, such as: if the move does go through, should we make "Store" a disambiguation page to "Yahoo Store" and "Shopify Store" for instance? If it doesn't, should this page be expanded to include a "history of the store" section? {{User:The Knights Who Say Ni/sig}} 20:45, 27 March 2015 (UTC)

-
::::For example it doesn't appear trivial to redirect <nowiki>[[Store:]]</nowiki> to Shopify, and of course, some links would still need to go to the Yahoo Store (unless it's closed, and then to archive.org instead), so it might make sense to add a shortcut like <nowiki>[[yahoostore:]]</nowiki> to make porting easier.

-
::::As for a "history of the store" section, I personally would like to see that regardless of the outcome here -- and as a separate page. I feel like there is a lack of information about that on the wiki, and what is available is in pieces. --{{User:Purple Wrench/sig}} 21:41, 27 March 2015 (UTC)

-
:::::I would love to see the history of the store, since it's one of the more ignored but most important parts of the Homestar Runner website and system. But, if the Yahoo Store is still active, I think that having separate tags would be okay.[[User:Catjaz63|Catjaz63]] 22:51, 27 March 2015 (UTC)

The Store sections (especially this one) need a lot of clean up, for the Shopify Store has replaced the Yahoo Store. A lot of moving has to be done to the product pages and sections and everything needs to be put into a past tense. - {{User:Catjaz63/sig}} 23:06, 13 April 2015 (UTC)
