In [1987], he was Strong Bad's main man. Strong Bad pointed this out in the Strong Bad Email: "2 years", when E. Fullmer, the email's writer, thought he was Strong Bad's main man. It is known that Van is still Strong Bad's because Strong Bad later said in that email, "My main man is, and has been since 1987, Van Mundegaarde."
