Talkin' about scope on a Tuesday
Never mind that it's a Thursday.
I was concerned, when making this page, that people would misuse it for "any reference to the day Tuesday" and was careful with my examples; I'm not even convinced I should have added the Strong Badia the Free example. The page was intended to note when events - often nonspecific ones - are nonetheless specifically said to happen on an arbitrary Tuesday, with there being no particular reason why it would be Tuesday in particular. The yes, wrestling example was one I specifically avoided, because Strong Bad is clearly talking about a specific event (creating the yes, wrestling email) on a specific Tuesday (November 27, 2007). I brought this up on Discord, and DorianGray/DarkfireTaimatsu said that he added it because, if you're watching it for the first time years after it was created, the fact that it was created on a Tuesday is not obvious, and it literally contains the words "on a Tuesday" (I am heavily paraphrasing; DorianGray can give a more complete explanation if I misunderstood or left something important out.) I kinda see where he's coming from, but I'm not convinced. Thoughts? (Meanwhile, I am more okay with the addition of the bet - though the event is specific, the Tuesday is not - which DorianGray was surprised over; he apparently thought I'd protest that one.) --Jay (Talk) 20:18, 30 November 2023 (UTC)
