I see that fun fact as being needlessly pedantic. People interchange the terms garage sale and yard sale all the time. In fact, even the Wikipedia entry the fun fact links to lists yard sale as a synonym for garage sale. Can we get rid of it? I'm posting about it in here, because I'm not entirely sure of how STUFF is supposed to work, unfortunately.

Is Coach Z really a mother? He was after all buying things for babies, but other than that, I see no evidence leading me to believe this. Does anyone else have anything? -- Homeschool Winner 11:42, 2 May 2005 (UTC)

  • Coach Z is just getting increasingly weird. -- Mithent 13:13, 2 May 2005 (UTC)
  • I seriously hope that'll never get mentioned again! Except if the baby turns out to be a bag of flour or whatever. ("No, my baby isn't an inanimate object. Yes, this phone is plugged in.") Kvb 18:32, 2 May 2005 (UTC)
  • Well, as far as evidence goes, he says he's a mother in the easter egg. Perhaps he keeps the baby in a locker or something? I'm sure TBC will pick up this story line in future e-mails though... -DMurphy 21:32, 2 May 2005 (UTC)

May I ask whose garage sale this is, Marzipan's or Strong Bad's? --djm1791 11:57, 2 May 2005 (UTC)

  • Well, we see Strong Bad selling to Bubs, and Marzipan thinking about buying her answering machine, so it looks like Strong Bad's sale to me. Of stolen items sold back for inflated prices. -- Mithent 13:13, 2 May 2005 (UTC)
  • The can of peas was on sale for $99, in Strong Bad email 99 (different town) the KoT was buried in a box of peas. Anyone else think this is a referance?
    • The price of every item corresponds to the number of the sbemail in which it first appeared. -- Yo, Anony! Why don't you post comments to talk pages without revealing your own identityyyy!?
      • Look who's talking. Poopsmith Z
        • YA BUT EVERY WERE IT SAYS ITS MARZI'S SAIL --djm1791 10:32, 3 May 2005 (UTC)
          • Where does it say anything about a sail belonging to Marzipan? --Jay (Talk) 10:51, 3 May 2005 (UTC)
Except that it doesn't. No where does it say that Marzipan is running this sale. She's just browsing, not running. →FireBird

umm someone should change this... (under trivia, continues to remarks)

   * While debatable, this also might raise the possibility of Senor Cardgage being a permamanent character.

also on remarks. duplication and spelling - almost more than 2 problems! Also, anyone else notice the hat on "the haggler" caption is homsar's? --Johnoboy

  • No, it isn't. But I was expecting someone to say so. Homsar's hat is yellow - "The Haggler"'s hat is brown. --Jay (Talk) 21:04, 2 May 2005 (UTC)
    • Yes, but it is clearly the same shape. I highly doubt that can be considered a coincidence. -DMurphy 02:28, 3 May 2005 (UTC)
      • Homsar is hardly a haggler. They were probably just reusing the shape: they do that all the time. -- Joshua 11:19, 3 May 2005 (UTC)

Bub?

Someone had better check the spelling of Bubs' Concession Stand (below, under Fun Facts). It doesn't let me change it - but it makes me so mad!

Why doesn't it let you change it? Obviously you haven't been blocked, and the page is not protected. You should be able to change it. →FireBird

Gar(bage/baaj/bledina)

Enough, people. Let's settle this once and for all. What should it be? Gar-bage, or Gar-baaj? Kvb 12:45, 4 May 2005 (UTC)

Garage Sale vs Yard Sale
