[edit] Name

The name of this page sucks, in my opinion, but I can't think of anything that would be better fitting, if this page actually is kept. Does anyone have any ideas? MichaelXX2 mail_icon.gif link_icon.gif 23:37, 3 June 2009 (UTC)

How 'bout "In the Night"? BBG 01:06, 4 June 2009 (UTC)
That sounds good. By the way, can you get on IRC again? I would put this on your talk page, but I can't... MichaelXX2 mail_icon.gif link_icon.gif 01:08, 4 June 2009 (UTC)
The problem is the number of "i"s in the word "night" in this inside joke vary from 5 to 12. How is anyone supposed to remember that they're supposed to spell the word "Night" in the title with 6 "i"s? Rename to In The Night. – The Chort 17:10, 4 June 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Delete?

So, out of the 4 references on the page, 3 of them are Trogdor-related, making them the same thing, and the fourth is "into the night" not "in the night". That leaves us with 1 real instance. Anyone agree? — Defender1031*Talk 21:17, 26 June 2009 (UTC)

Little overly literal on the paper. The page is more about singing the drawn-out "NiiIIiiIIiiIIiiIIGHT!"; the paper is clearly a case of that. Add guitar and anything Trogdor-related, and you've got three. Keep the page. --Jay (Gobble) 22:06, 26 June 2009 (UTC)
guitar and Trogdor-related are the same joke. That's two. Or 3 references of the same joke, and one that doesn't fit. It really seems like an attempt to force similar things together when they really ought not to be. — Defender1031*Talk 22:14, 26 June 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, but even though it is "into" the night, it is on the same subject. The first time it is the "dragon" coming in the night, and although they can all be traced to one instance, isn't that true for all gags? --Jellote wuz here 22:35, 26 June 2009 (UTC)
Keep, per Jay. -132.183.151.150 22:54, 26 June 2009 (UTC)
I fail to see how them being the "same joke" makes this page invalid. On the contrary, if they weren't the same joke, then I'd be more inclined to delete. --Jay (Gobble) 23:05, 26 June 2009 (UTC)
Indeed. "Same joke" is the very definition of a running gag. — It's dot com 23:26, 26 June 2009 (UTC)
I'm saying the paper doesn't fit, as it's not part of the same joke, and the rest of the info belongs on Trogdor (Song). — Defender1031*Talk 23:32, 26 June 2009 (UTC)
I disagree. "And the [thing] [moves] in[to] the NIIIiiiIIIiiiiIIIiiiIGHT!" seems like a pretty solid pattern. Perhaps not coincidentally, the BMW lighter is featured in all three emails. — It's dot com 23:39, 26 June 2009 (UTC)
