As regards The Kaiser, could this also be a reference to Kaiser Wilhelm II?

I don't think so. TBC just used The Kaiser as a title for a "kingly" person. Kaiser is (or was) a fairly common term for a ruler. It's not a reference. --acekirby13|My Talk 23:42, 10 May 2005 (UTC)

Are we sure it's "flapper girls" and not "clever girls"? "Flapper" would be the obvious historical reference, but the word sounds more like "clever" to me, and "flapper girl" seems redundant - I've not researched this point, but I've always understood "flapper" stood on its own, without needing to be a modifier for "girl".
