[edit] Is robots a Thanksgiving toon?
I was looking at this edit and started to wonder: robots came out three days before Thanksgiving. (A quick spot check shows that Toikey TV was released on a Monday, and Let us give TANKS! on a Tuesday.) And the main topic the robots discuss is... sauces. Even the Grape-nuts robot went to visit their in-laws. I now have a hard time not considering this another Holiday toon... --Stux 22:27, 25 November 2025 (UTC)

- Yes! Absolutely not! I would not have noticed the hints either! But my point is, that I believe those hints are there and do indicate that this is a holiday toon of sorts. Not all Thanksgiving dinners have to have Turkey and cranberry sauce, especially if you're a robot. :) --Stux 23:35, 25 November 2025 (UTC)
- I dunno, saying cranberry sauce by name would have been a big point in favor of a specific holiday, but sauces are too broad of a concept. Even the in-laws mention seems to be just a common place where it would be embarrassing to mix up your sauces; it doesn't seem like a Thanksgiving visit. - I think the Brothers Chaps wrote and started animating this toon months ago, and only finished it just now. The Thanksgiving timing is just a coincidence. -- 98.209.14.80 02:12, 26 November 2025 (UTC)
- And another thing: I think the joke about mixing up "marsala" and "masala" is funnier because the Grape Nuts Strong Bad robot is built from a Speak and Spell, so confusing two words that are one letter apart would be embarrassing for him. -- 98.209.14.80 04:30, 26 November 2025 (UTC)
