Michael Jackson was born on August 29, 1958 and the eighth child of Joe and Katherine Jackson. In 1964, He and his older brothers formed a band called "The Jackson 5" and was the lead singer. They made great singles such as "ABC" and "Rockin' Robin". Later in 1975, the band was renamed to "The Jacksons". Three years later, Michael appeared in the movie Adaptation of "The Wiz", a black musical version of "The Wizard of Oz", co-staring Diana Ross. This lead Michael to become an independent singer in the late 70s through the 80s. In 1983, he made the most popular song "Thriller", which is the most popular song of the world.
Then, in 1984, while he was doing a Pepsi commercial, his hair caught on fire when a spark struck and was taken to the hospital. Because of his success, Michael Jackson became a popular 80s icon. During the rest of the 80s, he made other great singles like "Bad", Smooth Criminal", and " Billie Jean". However in 1993, he was accused of child sexual abuse and again later in 2005. Because of this, a lot of TV shows and films made fun of him. Fans of Michael were against the abuse and supported him. He was married originally to Lise Presley, the daughter of Elvis in 1994 ,however, it only lasted less than two years later. In 2009, he announced that he was going to do a lot of tour concerts, but suddenly, on June 25, he suffered cardiac arrest and died. Today, a lot of his fans listen to his songs and became one of the famous singers of the world.
