Substitution
I've noticed a lot of pages that have their links hard-coded on them. Many of them look like they were generated from a substitution of this template. I'd like to go re-template-ify them. Example: Marzipan's Answering Machine Version 16.2#External Links (see history - I swapped the http links for the template). Is there any reason/hrwiki policy why I shouldn't this? - Since nobody has answered, I'm going to re-implement this template where it seems appropriate. LobStoR 00:28, 8 April 2009 (UTC)
Should we standardize this template on all of our articles? Should I (or others who volunteer) go through and replace the olde-style External links with this template as we find them? —Soiled Bargains (talk|ctrb) 01:33, 5 September 2009 (UTC)
Needed?
Is this template needed? Unless we have a bot do it for us, it's going to be a nightmare trying to get this implemented into every page. Is it really all that hard for someone to type the code themself? — MichaelXX2

- Oh, I didn't realize that this was created long ago. I've never noticed it. — MichaelXX2

- You're like the template police, always immediately asking "Needed?" on every template. Hehe. Also, a bot might not be the greatest idea to implement it on the articles, anyway - since the link formatting can tend to have some slight variations. It's not a top priority issue to replace links with this template, but as I stumble across pages, I've been replacing the links with the template... I just wanted to check in that this isn't contradicting some old HRWiki policy I'm unaware of, or something to that effect. LobStoR 02:17, 14 April 2009 (UTC)
