Marshie is the mascot for Fluffy Puff Marshmallows. Homestar Runner hates that friggin' marshmallow, probably because Marshie took his job. He's famously creepy and his commercials are often composed of non-sequitur gibberish. He had a cameo role in Cheat Commandos...O's, in which he managed, if it's possible, to be even stranger than usual. Marshie's 1936 equal is Mr. Shmallow (character), who is just as creepy. He also tends to announce his appearance during commercials by uttering the most current popular slang phrases such as "S'up fools" and "OH SNAP!" in a heavy-handed attempt to convince kids to like him. However, this technique often is nullified by Marshie's innate creepiness.

The apparent bite out of the side of his head may go back to the "Marshmallow's Last Stand" toon, in which Homestar Runner, after snarfing down Pom-Pom's marshmallow, only takes one bite out of his own huge marshmallow. Just then, Strong Bad and Strong Mad show up, interrupting the action, and leaving the large marshmallow with a bite out of it in just the same place as Marshie's missing piece. More than coincidence?

Marshie shares a resemblance to both the Carl's Jr/Hardee's star and the characters on the Elyon kosher marshmallows.
