Rankin/Bass was an American production company known for its seasonal animated stop motion holiday specials, mostly on Christmas and winter. Their more notable specials are "Frosty the Snowman", "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" and "Santa Claus is Coming to Town".

There are some references of the specials in the HR universe.

• Happy Dethemberween — The TV special Homestar and the others were watching was based on Rankin/Bass TV specials of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town, and Nestor, the Long-Eared Christmas Donkey.
