Level 4 - FISTICUFF!

"Stinkoman uses a giant fist to keep 1-Up safe in Lava Zone"
1-Up wants to rescue Pan-Pan, Stinkoman has to protect him.

Stage 4.1 (Transcript)

{Cut to inside Stinkoman's house, Stinkoman is eating, with a spoon in his new giant fist}

STINKOMAN: {subtitled} CHOMP! CHOMP!

{1-Up walks in from the right}

1-UP: {subtitled} PAN PAN'S STILL KIDNAPPED! I'M GOING TO RESCUE HIM!

STINKOMAN: {subtitled} WHATEVER!

{Cut to close-up of 1-Up}

1-UP: {subtitled} AND I'M BORROWING YOUR POWER CRUNCH! {holds up the tape from time capsule}

{Cut to close-up of Stinkoman}

STINKOMAN: {subtitled} YEAH, YEAH. JUST BRING IT BACK IN ONE PIECE.

{Cut to close-up of 1-Up}

1-UP: {subtitled} AND I'M TAKING A SHORTCUT THROUGH THE LAVA ZONE!!

{1-Up runs off to the right. Cut to close-up of Stinkoman, who stops eating}

STINKOMAN: {subtitled} LAVA ZONE?

{Cut to even closer close-up of Stinkoman}

STINKOMAN: {subtitled} MY POWERCRUNCH!!!!!

{Cut to level, with Stinkoman and 1-UP in position. Instructions appear on the screen and Stinkoman demonstrates them as they appear}

HERE'S HOW TO PLAY:

PRESS 'S' TO POUND FIST
AND KILL ENEMIES BELOW

PRESS 'A' TO HOP ON  COLOURED TILES
TO MOVE PLATFORMS OF SAME COLOR!

BLOCK LAVA-FALLS WITH 
GIANT FIST!!

PROTECT 1-UP!! HIS
LIFE IS YOUR LIFE!
DON'T LET HIM OUT
OF YOUR SIGHT!

{As the level begins, the following words are projected across the screen for a few seconds.}

PROTECT 1-UP!
A - JUMP,
S - POUND,
ARROW KEYS - MOVE

Stage 4.1 (Guide)

• The first thing to do is to run forward and put your fist under the first lava-fall and wait for 1-Up to get through.
• When you walk out of the lava-fall a man will run on the top and throw his fist at you. He's called "Poorbt". As long as your fist is between him and you (you're not facing the other way or directly under a lava-fall) he won't hurt you.
• Walk over so your fist is over the red blob, called "Gokul" and press S to kill it. Do the same with the red flying thing, called "Gaspeau"
• Protect 1-Up from another lava-fall and kill the Gokul beyond it.
• Turn around to stop the Poorbt behind you.
• Stand on the green tile and jump 3 times to move the green platform into position
• Kill the Gaspeau and jump 4 times on the red tile. Kill the Gokul.
• Another Poorbt behind you, and another lava-fall.
• Once 1-Up's past the lava-fall, run on to the green tile. Wait till 1-Up is standing on the green platform, then jump 3 times. Not too fast, or the platform will slide away from under 1-Up and you'll lose.
• Kill the Gokul and block the lava-fall.
• Run on to the blue tile as soon as 1-Up's past. Don't worry about the Poorbt in front of you.
• As soon as 1-Up steps on the blue platform jump 3 times. Then as soon as he gets off jump 3 times again. Then when he gets on the next blue platform jump 3 times (but slower)
• Run ahead and block the lava-fall.
• Don't worry about the cliff, 1-Up will fall off it safely. Run ahead and kill the Gokul, turn around and protect yourself from the Poorbt behind you.
• Kill the blue Gaspeau (actually a "Frotzer"), and jump 4 times on the red tile. Then run ahead and kill the Gaspeau and the Gokul, and block the lava-fall.
• Block the Poorbt in front of you, kill the Gokul, and block the Poorbt behind you.
• Run on to the green tile, blocking another Poorbt in front of you, and jump 3 times. When 1-Up makes it to the 2nd green platform jump 3 times again (slowly), when he makes it to the 3rd platform jump 2 times. 1-Up will be able to climb the step that's left and you won't have to worry about the last platform.
• Block the lava-fall and kill the Frotzer and the Gokul.
• Run ahead and jump on the red tile 2 times and then the blue tile 3 times (in that order).
• Kill the Gaspeau and block the lava-fall, and wait for 1-Up to reach the end.
