The Brothers Chaps have made multiple references to Pokémon, and more specifically the Pokémon Pikachu, playing on its resemblance to The Cheat.
Appearances
- Homestar Quiz — One of the choices for the question, "Who did the Cheat dress up as for Halloween?" is Pikachu.
- The Cheat Theme Song — A Pikachu floats across the screen during the music video. This is its only appearance without being simply mentioned.
- The House That Gave Sucky Treats — When you click on a character to vote on their costume, the subject that appears in the email you send is "I choose you, {character's name}achu".
- Email i she be — The Cheat's Instant Messaging screen name is "cheatachu72". This screen name later appears in marzipan and english paper.
- 8-Bit is Enough — Strong Bad uses the "I choose you!" catchphrase when selecting the Dancing Bear from Space Circus Catastrophe.
- Poker Night at the Inventory — Strong Bad asks Max if he's a Pokémon, pronouncing it Poke-Mon.
