Metroid is a series of science fiction action/adventure games developed and published by Nintendo. References to the series, particularly the two dimensional games, have been made several times in the Homestar Runner body of work.
Appearances
- The spinning jump that Stinkoman uses resembles Samus's screw attack jump in the two dimensional Metroid games.
- Email: invisibility — references the cheat code "JUSTINBAILEY"
- Emaik: japanese cartoon — an Easter egg shows the ending to the NES version of Metroid
- Under Construction — "Maru Maru" is a misspelling of the "Mari Maru", the Japanese name for the morph ball in the Metroid series
