Fat Dudley (aka "Fat Duds") is Pom Pom's Old-Timey counterpart. Dudley appears to be The Homestar Runner's best friend, just as Pom Pom is in the present, yet he does not seem as loyal as Pom Pom, as he was "gonna sneak a nip of hooch" in That A Ghost. Dudley may derive characteristics (dark eyes, glasses, jazzy voice) from Leon Redbon, a pop icon recognized for his guitar and vocal interpretations of music from the 1930's.
Unlike Pom Pom's "bubble talk", he speaks in jazz-like musical tones. Physically he seems much more human than Pom Pom. He has hands and wears regular (if old-fashioned) clothes, as opposed to a Pom outfit. His butt cheeks are visible through a hole in the back of his pants, as evidenced in "That a Ghost?" when he turns around to leave the mansion.
