Monkey D... Monkeydude...
Is Monkeydude really Monkey D? I mean, I know the Monkeydude card was illustrated with Monkey D in Pom Pom, but the Viklas card was illustrated with the Swedish flag. They've always seemed two clear-cut different people to me. --Upsilon
"Monkey D" is a made up name by Strong Bad which is now a running gag. "Monkeydude" is how someone signed his email to Mr Bad. Its a case of life imitating art. I think we should note this, but ultimately they are the same person in Homestar universe - Dr Haggis - Talk 14:19, 5 Dec 2004 (MST)
Or... TBC could have made a mistake and confused Monkey D with Monkeydude. --Tom Holmes.
When the Creator makes a mistake, it's canon. --Pete Best
Barenaked Monkey?
He may well be the inspiration for the Barenaked Ladies song "Another Postcard." -Anonymous
- Unlikely. The story is that BNL actually gets frequent monkey postcards from an anonymous person. Drhaggis 00:19, 18 Sep 2004 (MST)
Maybe it is the other way around, "Another Postcard" is the inspiration for MonkeyD. Personally, I think it is just a coincidence. --Hobo
You don't suppose it has anything to do with Monkey D. Luffy...?
- I was going to bring this up. I don't think it's a reference, just a weird coincidence. I believe that One Piece came out after the 1st Monkey D reference, but I could be wrong. It's freaky. --acekirby13|My Talk 01:32, 22 May 2005 (UTC)
