Hey, B (note that I feel 'gangsta' now). I just reverted your edit of [[lady...ing]], and before you throw up your hands in despair and say, "why! whhhy!?!", I'ma let you know. If memory serves me, the wiki fought a minor battle over the nature of Fabrosi and Van Mundegard (sp) after this sbemail came out. Usually, for about two weeks after a toon or e-mail comes out, everyone and their mother tries to expound on all the minutiae of the content, and people here take these things seriously. So seriously, in fact, that we even have a formal voting process called STUFF for remarks, fun facts, and the like.

Now, I think your point is essentially correct, but others might disagree. Just letting you know your input is appreciated, but those remarks and fun facts are like a cage match, man. I'm 99% sure the battle was fought before - you can even check in the STUFF archives or the "history" of the page.

If it wasn't, put it back.

''-That's cool, and I appreciate the feedback, not just a deletionFor my reference, and so I don't add a ton of those, is there some general way to check up on that sort of thing '''before''' an addition?  I'm thinking more specific than just checking the history, because that is tedious at the best of times.  If not, that's fine too.  At this point, I'm also thinking of those things that don't hit the STUFF pages.  Any suggestions?'' :Before adding a fact it is always good practice to check the talk page of that article to see if it has already been dicussed and rejected.  Closed STUFF can usually be found there as well.  STUFF [[HRWiki:STUFF/Archive/Verdicts|verdicts]] are also archived, so you can check there too.  If it doesn't apper in either place and you think it may be an issue, you can post it on the article's talk page and see what the general consensus is.  If you don't think it will be an issue, just post it on the article, and hopefully it will stay.<br>Hope that helps. {{User:Some HSR themed username/sig}} 20:06, 2 Oct 2005 (UTC)

Current revision as of 05:55, 5 November 2005

{comment copied from my talk page} In the interest of fairness to all points of view, I have amended the page with a link to both toons, and I will be including it in the main archive under both names and on both talk pages. I hope this compromise is satisfactory. — It's dot com 05:47, 1 November 2005 (UTC)

The issue is that I have decided that I have better things to do than to remain attached to the seedy underbelly that is the wiki disussion. I will continue to visit, as the site is really cool. I won't make contributions unless no one else can provide what I have to offer, or if there is a blatant error on a page. I may continue to play on the sound effects page. Other than that, I have nothing else to add.
The amendment is acceptable. The beef was not with what was the better referene. My beef was that it kept getting moved and altered. And without comment. The whole event was a display in discourteousness (on both parts, mine especially). I don't do much of this, and I worked hard trying to get that right. I appreciate the re-consideration.
