Although the characters' ages are deliberately ambiguous, every now and then they will mention that they have attended school some time in the past.

- In Search of the Yello Dello Commentary - Strong Sad recalls wearing a shirt that read "I'm #1" on it when he went to school.
- The House That Gave Sucky Treats - The Necco wafers remind Strong Sad of when he used to eat the coloured chalk in school.
- Email stand-up - Lil' Strong Bad appears to be in a school talent show.
- Revenge of the King - The King of Town claims that he rules the school.
