The 1936 version of Bubs works at the Parsnip Depot. You can tell that he's Bubs because he has a stripe on his midsection and he owns a shop. It is doubtful that this version is as good at dancin' as the current Bubs, because he's blind and only has one leg, but he can play the banjo.
He is presumably the son of Mark Grave and was apparently buried alive. Therefore, since the tombstone bears the legend "Unmarked Grave", it is possible that this is his name.
