Well, does anyone know what they might do for Decemberween this year? That is, if they don't skip out again, like they did in '03 and '05?

I'd like to see the "Short-shorts" format again this year.

You know what I'd like to see? Something really fancy. I'm thinking along the lines of... "A Decemberween Carol", which would a Homestar version of Dickens' classic, "A Christmas Carol". But since this would be a pretty long toon, it should be presented in DVD style, like "The King of Town DVD", "In Search of the Yello Dello" and even "Sbemail 169 Deleted Scene". The "A Decemberween Carol" DVD, like all the other DVD-style presentations, would have the following:

  • Storyboards
  • Deleted scenes
  • Audio commentary (by Strong Bad and a few others)
  • Theatrical trailer (complete with the green approval preview card at the start)
  • Bonus short: "A Holiday Greeting" (2000) (something that no other DVD-style presentation has had before)

Interesting, isn't it?

i have an idea, there all spending decemberween eve (as they may call it) in some type of wooden cottage when a huge snowstorm blows by, everyone is stuck and has to improvise with no heat, tv, video games, (this is already sounding painful) or food and so everyone has to make ideas to spend the time, by the end of decemberween eve they all are starting to go crazy, mainly strong sad, it becomes decemberween and there still styck when everyone starts fighting with eachother when strong mad misses a punch and breaks through the wall making a new exit they all get out and everyone become partially sane aagin

What if we get nothing like we did in 2003 and 2005 (two other odd-numbered years)?

They probably won't do that.

But I fear we may have to go without D'ween toons again, like in 2003 and '05.

Probably won't happen (by which I mean the toon probably will happen). TBC has been updating the site every week constantly for a couple of months, not taking a break like they were back then. I see no reason why they would stop before making a good new Decemberween toon.

Well, they made emails in 2003 consistently. I think the reason there were no D'ween toons in '03 was because it was about that time that Mike and Missy tied the knot, but still, I can't help but worry.

This is an episode of Rugrats. I remember watching it like 5 or 6 years ago.

Speaking of that show, it was on Nick today. That was the first time I've watched it in 6 years.

Anyways, that would seriously be a terr-uh-bull plot. A good plot is something more-- Decemberween related. That's not good enough.

It would have to be a spoof on a show by RB, in that case.

I don't even know if they'll make one, but if they do I'd like to see more Short Shorts. To me, little tidbits are funnier than big toons if done correctly. However, I wouldn't have a fit if they didn't.

Well, given how they've done stuff in the past, I'll only believe they'll do a toon when I see it.

But yeah, it would be nice if they did do one, maybe it could be a parody of "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation" and be called "Strong Bad's Decemberween Vacation".

You think it might be a parody of a Christmas special? If not it would probably be something original.

Well, you never know. In the early days, they've parodied "A Charlie Brown Christmas" in many ways, so who knows.

They should parody several more of what I call "The Big Four": 1) A Charlie Brown Christmas; 2) Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (RB's version); 3) How the Grinch Stole Christmas (not the live-action version, but the animated version directed by Chuck Jones); and 4) Frosty the Snowman (RB's version).

They could definitely parody "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" (maybe "How The Brothers Strong Stole Decemberween").

Yeah I can see either The Cheat or Strong Sad being the dog Max from that show!
