Skee, I find you doing Yoga quite funny. I would like to see you twisted up like a pretzel.

I don't pray. I haven't for a couple of years. I see no use for it.

Honestly, I'm not THAT good at it - I don't practice it enough to do the really advanced poses.

I find that last sentence interesting. And, I guess I'll say, to each his own. I think prayer can be a very relaxing and profitable experience. It's like talking to a therapist - except God doesn't charge or ask you to tell Him about your mother. ;)

I guess I should explain why I don't feel prayer is neccessary.

My reason is that if God has already laid out his plan for the Universe, he is not going to change just because I asked him to. What has happened and what will happen are meant to be, and my prayer won't change that.

But what about free will? To Catholic belief, we have free will, and are not just drones to fate. We can change what will happen. Prayer is for God's help with that change.

I don't follow Catholic beliefs. I believe in what I want to believe in, not what I am told.

In the words of C. S. Lewis, prayer does not change God; it changes us.

Well Darth, you don't have to pray like a priest, just something simple, such as "Thank you God, who everything that you have given to us" is just as good as any other prayer. As long as you're serious about praying and not just doing it because you have to, then it's all good.

Hey, good point! ;)
