Atheism. I'm not surprised.

Hinduism. We just finished learning about Hinduism and Budduhism in Social Studies. I would have liked Budduhism since it is really more a philosophy then a religon. No gods, no hell, but It does say that not everybody can reach Nirvana. I don't know why that is and if someone could tell me that would be nice since my teacher and parents don't know either.

Did you take the first one or the second one (which is a bit better)? I still don't think Christianity should've been placed so high up the graph (heck, they put it above scientology). I probably would've put it more in the middle. Or something. Oh well.

I got Buddhism, but that's not right. I don't like how Christianity was placed as being little to no spirituality, because, unless I've got the wrong definition of spirituality, there seems to be a lot of it in Christianity. That is, spirituality being defined as being of the spirit, as opposed to being of the world, which is very important in the Christian faith to me. I don't know how it's defined in Buddhism, though.

A good quiz like this would touch a large number of questions that are asked and answered in every faith and pose answers that are very faith-specific, though I don't believe you should choose a faith because of a quiz regardless.

Another thing is the common misconception that Christians can't believe in evolution. The Bible says that God created us, but it doesn't specifically say that he didn't do so by evolving us from apes. (Personally, I don't necessarily believe in evolution, but I don't see it as being totally anti-Christian either. After all, Darwin was a pretty devote Christian himself. I just know God created us, I don't really care how.)

First try I got Buddhism, so I tried it again, thinking carefully and answering as honestly as I could, and got Judeo-Christian, which is what I am, a Christian. 14 questions is too small a sampling of theological perspective to choose a religion, however. Make it 10 times that number, and you're getting somehwere.

I certainly hope that Christianity has faith in and reverence for God the Father, Maker of heaven and earth. And I certainly hope that worship is included in our current understanding of a Christian life. That being the case, I'm not entirely sure it's accurate to say that our faith is not a religion.

While I agree that our faith is a relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ, such a relationship does not find its fulfillment apart from the historic teachings of our faith and the public worship that accompanies it.

Yeah, I think "Christianity" is a religion, but it's really the relationship that gets you into the Kingdom. After all, the early apostles weren't even called 'Christians' untill a few years after Jesus' death.

Actually, the term "Christian" was originally a derrogatory term, meaning, "one who belongs to Christ." It was coined by Greek people in Antioch (home of Teh Holy Hand Grenade) to make fun of those who called themselves disciples of Christ.

It just gets on my nerves when people say that our faith is not a religion. It sounds too much like, "Our religion is cooler than yours, because ours isn't really a religion at all." And it leaves me asking the question, "Then what is it, exactly?" It also seems to imply that one can be a disciple of Jesus Christ without actually becoming a part of his community of faith (1 Peter 2:9-10), even though Scripture tells us that we are not at liberty to simply separate ourselves from that community (Hebrews 10:25).

I got Spiritualism.

I'm a member of the Catholic church, and frankly, I believe in the whole "God" thing, but I think this quiz was rather accurate.

I don't feel comfortable in church at all. I don't really think that I belong there, and I feel really bad at confession time. I've often done some odd things to AVOID going to confession. It just violates my comfort.

I don't think any type of organized religion would suit me. I definatley prefer to follow my own path, and not just to believe what the Bible and the priest tell me. Maybe I'm just a fool for thinking that, but I think that spiritualist is the way to go for me. I'll still probably end up getting confirmed, but I personally feel uncomfortable in any form of organized religion.

I've attended prayer sessions and other religious ceremonies for at least 4 different religions, all of which made me feel pretty awkward. I don't know about you guys, but truthfully, I think I feel uncomfortable because some of my beliefs conflict with just about every religion, and bieng different like that, and yet still sitting in the same religious ceremony as these people, I don't feel at all comfortable.

*sigh* The whole religion thing is about the only thing about myself that I'm truly confused about.

You might want to reconsider. I don't really know how it works in Roman Catholicism, but for us Lutherans, Confirmation incluldes an oath before God and his church to follow the teachings and practices of our faith. If you are not comfortable doing that, then it may be best not make that oath.

I got Agnostic. 20% scientific, 0% logic. Which is absolute bull. I mean, more bull than you can imagine. I believe things because of logic and pretty much nothing else. Not to mention that I'm a Christian. Which isn't agnostic.

I'm seriously put off by this quiz's idiocy. In many of the questions I wanted to answer 'both' where I couldn't and it really pisses me off to find "Christianity" and "reason" on opposite sides of the spectrum. There are so many different ways of believing different religions (or lack thereof) that it's impossible to classify certain religions as 'spiritual' or 'logical'. Almost all people follow religions (or lack thereof) just 'cause it's convenient or because that's what they're told. Others use reason to believe or disbelieve in a certain religion.

I am going to eviscerate humanity in the head.

P.S. People tend not to like the word 'religion', I think, because the majority of humankind doesn't know what it actually means. They think of religion as blind faith in something. Thus, they think it's only for some people. Same goes for the word 'faith'; they think it's blind belief. But 'faith' is really just maintaining a belief in what you know to be true, even if believing it might be inconvenient or difficult at the time.
