Okay, I know that I keep on talking/complaining about this, but I think it matters. If you think it's annoying, I apologize.

Anyway, the point of this topic is, are the Cheat Commandos and 1936 now the officially least updated aspects of Homestar Runner dot com? I mean, 20X6 gets Stinkoman 20X6 (increasing its popularity by 100 (or more) in the Fanstuff Wiki), TGS was two months ago, Sweet Cuppin Cakes was in the last April Fools thing, Puppet Stuff had the Biz Cas Fris and the DVD, PTBC was in the DVD, Peasantry was updated last February, and yet, no Cheat Commandos nor 1936 for almost a year.

I know that TBC might do it soon, but when even Strong Sad's Lament was updated (and it was on a 349 day hiatus), I knew this is the last straw. Cheat Commandos or 1936 are either the least updated aspects of the site, or the ignored, or forgotten.

What are your thoughts on this? And don't say that I'm annoying you with this kind of stuff. It's true.

They're probably waiting to bring it out again at a later time to surprise their fans. They do that a lot. They'll wait, until the fans almost forget about something, then bam, there it is. Just look at Senor Cardgage. Before Garage Sale, he wasn't used since Senor Cardgage Mortgage.

I don't think they'll do too much more with Cheat Comandoes. There's not much else they can do, except maybe a game. 1936, however, is due for a comeback. I don't really like 1936 toons that much, but I'm keeping my hopes up that they'll do another one as good as Ballad of The Sneak. That's the best short ever.

Everything you said is true Shim-Sham-Sam, except the whole "forgotton" thing. I'm pretty sure TBC haven't forgotten about them. They'll be back... eventually.

I think they just don't feel like doing them right now. I'm sure there's a good reason.

Well, Blue Laser could be doing something truly evil...using Young Cheats at Pep Rallies to turn them into chocolate golden babies.

Umm..yaeh.

What I really hope for is a 1936 Decemberween toon. Itd be cool.

They're both good cartoons, especially Cheat Commandos, so a new episode or two would be nice. We'll just have to wait and see.

And actually, Sweet Cuppin' Cakes is the least updated series on the site. It's only had one episode and has otherwise been doomed to cameos since its creation in the SBEmail "crazy cartoon."

I agree that they haven't updated it in a while. I don't necessarily think it's a bad thing, though. The other stuff they put out is good. If they decide not to update them for a while/ever again, then that'll be okay. If they do decide to update that'll be okay too. I really don't mind either way.

Yeah, as long as they provide us with quality cartoons, who cares which particular series and cast of characters they use?

I'd like to see either of them make an appearance. Just because I love both of them. But, like some other peoples said, I really don't think that there is much more for them to do with the Cheat Commandos.

This is somewhat off-topic, but if TBC bring back the 1936 style characters for a toon or something else, the date will likely not be 1936, but 1938.

There was a discussion on the talk page of 1936 about this. As far as we know, the formula is take the current year and subtract 67 years. E.g., 1936 toons = old timey toons released in 2003.

I think the 1936 toons need an update, but Cheat Commandos should be one of those special toons that is like a filler.

On an Off Topic note: I hope TBC will release Cheat Commando action figures in the future.

Actually, the first 1936 toon was released in 2002 if I'm not mistaken. (Unless you count the Kick the Can shorts.)

And yes, there needs to be Cheat Commandos action figures and playsets... or at least collectible figures.

The first two Cheat Commandos toons were good, but Shopping For Danger was the one that really made the series gold. It would be nice to see more of them, if TBC have anymore ideas for them.

I guess we should be nearing the point soon that TBC think we've 'forgotten' about the Cheat Commandos. A new one is way overdue, and plus, we haven't even gotten to see Foxface outside of action figure form yet!

i've never been a big fan of 1936 (or technically, we should call them the Old-Timey cartoons), with the only exception being Ballad of the Sneak. However, I welcome any of them because, as Ballad of the Sneak proves, they have great potential and a really really good one may come out of it.

But with Cheat Commandos, I really can't wait until another episode of it... It is way past due! Cheat Commandos, personally, adds life and flavor to the site it never had before. A new short or toon (or holiday- Cheat Commandos DECEMBERWEEN episode, anyone?) would really be my ideal update. Well, my second-most-ideal, next to getting my email answered...

A Decemberween Cheat Commandos would be great. It could spoof those really old, cheesy holiday toons, kinda like how Family Guy had that Kiss Saves Santa skit. That actually sounds like a good idea.

That;s because, even though I love Sweet Cuppin' Cakes, it makes no sense, restricting what they can do with it. i hope they do a Sweet Cuppin Cakes short, but then they'll probably lay off it for a while.

I voted Cheat Commandos only. 1936 was at least in radio.

Exactly. As long as it makes my gut hurt and my eyes water, i'm happy.

I didn't think of that, but I wouldn't even consider Cheat Comandoes to be a "part" of the site. They were a little joke from army that they rolled with for a little while, and I don't think we'll ee much more from them except maybe a game.

Bumped!

Alright, Shim-Sham-Sam. You can now rest in peace with the whole Cheat Commandos issue. :p ;)

Thatnk goodness. Anyway, now I don't have to fuss about the Cheat Commandos not being updated anymore. However, as for Old-Timey and Sweet Cuppin Cakes... well, I think we could use a sbemail soon. The lack of their presence is now a bit unsettling. Oh well, I like toons these days.

Sweet Cuppin Cakes is a gag that relies on its being completely off the wall, and that's a gag that gets less and less funny the more it's used. Honestly I wish they'd limited it to just the SBEmail (which is among my top 3 before anyone whines at me). It was hilarious to see what Strong Bad came up with, but when you already know what the main character sounds like, that SB's head will play a goofy song, and that Eh Steve is coming with the wheelchair, it's not as random and it's not as funny.

As for 1936, I'm not sad they don't update it. Aside from The Sneak's theme song and the Mr Shmallow commercial, I haven't liked one Old-Timey thing that's happened (read: nothing involving the 1936 characters).

I know one thing that hasn't been updated in a long time are the PBTC cartoons. The last one is New Boots.
