I like Nick. With Spongebob, Fairly Oddparents, and other funny cartoons, I prefer it to Cartoon Network.

However, Cartoon Network has only decently funny shows. I like Adult Swim and Toonami though.

You forgot Disney on the poll, but that's okay because I hate them anyway.

Cartoon Network by a million lightyears.

Though I prefer Anime over American animation, CN supported various Anime series and films. This I loved.

Megas XLR, The Powerpuff Girls, and Courage the Cowardly Dog are still my favorite CN series of all time.

I don't like Nick at all.

Hm. Let's see. A station that would please the exact same audience by having looping noises of bodily functions, or a station that manages to shred more and more of its dignity every night? Cartoon Network is the lesser of the two evils.

Nickelodeon. I gave up on Cartoon Network a long time ago. The only good stuff on there is some of the Adult Swim stuff.

As I mentioned in a PM to Krazed Squirrel, I think that CN has poor concepts for its shows but somehow manages to execute them in ways that are at least marginally funny, though the poor ideas are a turn-off. Nick, on the other hand, has great concepts but generally lackluster execution. The concept of the show The X's sounds great on paper, but the show itself is just bland and unfunny.

However, Nick has Avatar, which is the only "anime-style" show to yet be produced that actually manages to mimic anime in more than just style. It's got its own martial arts advisors, and the characters (especially Prince Zuko) are surprisingly rich for an American cartoon. That, and it's just a blast to watch.

Cartoon Network by far. I love Adult Swim with a passion.

CN for the following reasons:

a) It's got Adult Swim
and
b) It doesn't have such sucky programming. Seriously, I will NEVER watch any of the following:

Danny Phantom
The Fairly OddParents
Rugrats All Grown Up (All the charm of the original series came from the fact that they WEREN'T grown up.)
Jimmy Neutron (MOVIE SPINOFF AAAAAAUGH RUNAWAY!!!!!!)
Etc. Etc.

Yeah, Nick has SpongeBob, but I'm like one of the 5 people who like it.

But I give props for NOT EVEN INCLUDING The Disney Channel in that thing. Seriously, The Disney Channel is crap.

And CN has a lot more awesome stuff, although Toonami and that one underwater thing with lots of stupid action shows can just die.

But they were both way better in the Good Ol' Days. Seriously:
Cow and Chicken
Rocko's Modern Life
CatDog
Dexter's Laboratory is pretty vintage stuff by now, right? As are all of those awesome original Cartoon Cartoons?
And I've heard that Angry Beavers was awesome.

Yeah. [/long rant]

None of the above.

Although, if we rewind about 5 or 6 years, Cartoon Network.
Ah, the good ol' days.

Although, I still watch Adult Swim frequently.

Cartoon Network, definitely. All Nick has going for it is Fairly OddParents and Danny Phantom. Cartoon Network has Foster's and Billy and Mandy and, um... Toonami's on there... and stuff...

And yes, I'm nineteen. =) I'm just juvenile and innocent. It's endearing.

Cartoon Network. No question.

Billy and Mandy is hilarious (it reminds me of Invader ZIM somehow), and Foster's is pretty good, too. I also like the older Ed, Edd, n' Eddys, and, of course, [Adult Swim]. That stupid Miguzi thing annoys the crap outta me, though.

Nick was much better back in its heyday. Rocko's Modern Life, The Angry Beavers, and some of the live-action shows were good. Now all it has going for it is SpongeBob, FOP, and Danny Phantom. I think those are all pretty good, but SpongeBob and FOP are seemingly gone, and Danny Phantom will often hit you with a cliche ending to an awesome story.

Everyone and their grandma wrote:
Toonami

Add that to the list of "Things that were better a long time ago". Remember when DBZ episodes were new? Good times. Now it's filled with strange things I don't understand, like Bobobobobobo ect... Seriously, what the frig is that?

Once DBZ introduced Buu, the series got all confusing-like. I never really watched it much, and then the Dark Star series came out. I don't watch TV much.

All of those cartoon channels were way better back then, when there wasn't a new series every 2 weeks.

But either way, I don't watch TV much.

They both have really great series, and it was hard for me to choose. But I picked Nick, because Cartoon Network doesn't have the FOPs.

(I'm not counting Adult Swim because I view it as pretty much a completely different thing from Cartoon Network. If I were, it'd be CN no question.)

nick. it may have horrible series like danny phantom, all grown up, and *shudders* rocket power (lets surf at the grinding skateparkboard and go eat burgers!) but lets not forget spongebob (most sophisticated kids show ever!), Fairly Oddparents, and the Rugrats! and nick, so i hear, is the first kids network.
Cartoon network I can explain in one word and a lot of sylibles. Bobobobobobobobobo..... man. super nose hair whips are not as funny as a really dumb starfish! :bubs:

I don't "get" Bobobo BoBobo (yes, I've actually memorized the number of syllables), but Toonami's had some cool stuff in the past. SD Gundam was surprisingly good, and on the American-made front, Samurai Jack and Star Wars: Clone Wars were just SWEET. Genndy Tartakovsky = knows his way around an action cartoon.

I've already mentioned it before, but there's one thing I'd love to see Genndy turn into a cartoon, because I know he could do it perfectly... But I'm not going to get into that here because it's incredibly fangirlish.

Well, Nickelodeon has all those cool, strange, weird cartoons. But Cartoon Network has anime, so it just squeezes through.

Eh...as a fan of the "old" Gundam series(...es?), I was rather turned off by that. It was (to me, at least) really childish and lame. But I digress.

You know, Danny Phantom and Avatar would be better if they focused more on the stories and action than the jokes, IMO.

I say cartoon network, but only the CN of about three years ago, before I disowned them. That and the five or so years prior we like a Golden Age for that channel to me. All of Gendy's shows were in full swing, Cartoon Cartoons were good, Prime Time had good shows, Toonami, which didn't have that many good shows, was at a minimum time length, and *angry rant here* Miguzi didn't exist yet. Cartoon Sumer rocked my proverbial world, and all the good oldies were still on at regular times. Now... *shudder* there is very little worth watching, and I don't know who the genius behind the ewer edition of Fridays is, but they need to be smacked in the face with a shovel a couple dozen times. Actual people?! That's something Nick would've done! Now, I'm ashamed to say that when I have the opportunity to watch cable, I see Nick more, only because Spongebob and the OddParents are better than the swill that's there on CN. rantrantrantrant......

Yeah, I feel like a cartoon connoissieur at times like this.

Well I don't watch either that much anymore, but I'd go with CN. I used to watch DBZ, Ed edd n eddy, Dexter, 2 stupid dogs, all the time. Remember June Bugs? They show'd nothing but Bugs Bunny cartoons for the whole month of June. That was great. If they'd bring back that, I would stull watch it. Oh yeah plus they have Adult Swim.

10 years ago it would of been Nick all the way. They cancel all their good shows.
ATHF is the main reason I even turn on the TV

CN, mostly because it just became part of the local cable lineup within the last year and I'm not sick of it yet like everyone else seems to be.

Miguzi's kind of annoying, but I won't rage against it for two reasons:

1. Code Lyoko and
2. Zatch Bell.

Hush yo' mouth. They're two of my favorite cartoons.

I have to agree with that, Code Lyoko and Zatch Bell are two AWESOME shows, BUT SHAMAN KING WINS THE INTERNET.... TV. :p

Unfortunatley the show is dulled down for children. That's why I read the book, if they showed it fully uncut in the Japenese format, it would be TV-14/PG. But I doubt any channel would play it. I mean, Adult Swim has... strange anime. Except for Samurai Champloo, that one is decent.
