Now I see what your talking about. But all those times he was just knocked out. Probably by Strong Mad or Strong Bad.

Mmm... Homestarrunner is basically a children's based site. I see no reason for them to have to suddenly kill someone off. They would either edge them out of the picture slowly, or make him move away.
If they died of known illnesses, it might insult some people who's loved ones died of the same diease. TBC knows better.

It's not only a children-based site! I just learned that my cousin - he's a graduate at Yale - has a girlfriend who's obsessed with homestarrunner.com. My cousin likes it too. And we got into a long conversation about it that takes up 3 pages of Microsoft Word in font size 14.

You're not the only one. I'm in college too and I love H*R, as does many of the members of this forum. Such as BTG, DG, MHG, Jenny, and....umm.....Didymus.

I'll upset your balance, my lord! Sorry, had to say it.

Anyway, I don't think any of the characters will die. It's just not TBC to have a character kick the bucket and never come back.

Don't forget the resident redneck...me! Homestar is based more for high school/college kids. It's not a kids website at all. What kids website do you know of has a cartoon about "the bird."

I think Homestar isn't based on anything. TBC just make it the way they want to.

DARN RIGHT I like Homestar! I might even go as far as to say... I'm somewhat obsessed. Just a bit. All my friends are kinda freaked out by it, really. But I'm one of those people who makes sure everyone knows that I like something if I like it... I'm also a trekkie, among other rabid fandoms. :hr: LIVE LONG AND PWOSPEW!

Hmm... I'm a fanfic writer... wonder what Mu would do if I killed off a character in the fic I'm writing... ? *evil grin*

Seriously, if anyone ever dies, Homestar Runner will have officially jumped the shark.

She has two fanfics, as far as I know:

The Real World Adventures of Homestar Runner, and the sequel
The System is Gone.

As for the topic, characters will die every now in then, but it'll be like Homsar's and Strong Sad's death. I don't think anyone will ever be killed off for good.

Unless you count the TGS girls, no I doubt they'll ever drop any of the major characters. Or add any new ones, either.

gaargh! i keep on getting haunted by my inagination of the 'final toon'!
namely, they all get told somehow they all have to leave free country forever. then my mind skips to the train station. they all get on the train, the door closes and they all get taken to a new world of some sort. from there, you're allowed to explore free country, but everything's deserted.

Man, I hope that never happens. That's like, the utmost fear of any H*R fan.

Well, it was more of a joke than anything, but I think you spelled it right.

Every other point that has been made here on the topic has been valid. TBC wouldn't have any reason to kill off a character. I mean, what would be the point? If we lost, say, Strong Mad. Or The Cheat. Wouldn't it then follow that at least some portion of every toon, sbemail, etc would have to center around or mention the loss of the character? It would get old pretty fast. Like a soap opera with funnier voices.

And...waaay back on the first page...somebody (I forget who) said that Harry Potter and Narnia were Nickelodeon cartoons. No they weren't. Harry Potter and Narnia were and are a septilogy...heptilogy...whatever you call a series of seven books. Books. Not cartoons. And the visual media made for both of them had live actors and the only non-live-actor parts were CG, not cartoon. And also, the characters in those book series do in fact grow up. Harry Potter begins when Harry is 11 years old and Narnia starts at the Beginning of the World and ends quite a several centuries (in narnian time) after the events in The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe.

edit: fiftieth poooost :3

Anyone die? Pish Posh. People might die, but they will come back. Unless they only appear once and are supposed to die as a gag, they just reappear.

Of course, I have my suspicions that Marshie might get killed of...forver! Wow, I always wanted to say that.
