That hallowe'en toon was so...unfulfilling. ):

But, I gotta say...Bubs pretty much saved it from me disliking it. OH that costume. <3 OH that shooww~ =DD

Yeah. There were some really great moments in there, but overall it was pretty...eh.

The daytime-ness just made it...not.

I gotta admit, though. I loved the spooky woods. xD

EDIT: Tee. Oh. Pee. Dee.

...Heehee. Pee.

This was an awesome toon. I figured out some of the costumes right away, such as Homsars, Bub's, and Strong Sad's. I was rotf all over the place when I saw Bub's costume.

Yes you're the only one because you're WRONG!!!!!!!!!!
lol j/k j/k

Actually, you're not entirely wrong. They did make a Gizmo Furby, but it was stupid and evil. Like all Furbies ever. DARN YOU FURBY!!!!!!!!!

I thought Coach Z was awesome in this toon. I recognized Marzipan's costume right away and cracked up... it was very appropriate. :p In fact... her's, Pom Pom's, the Cheat's, and the KoT's were the only ones I recognized. I thought that Strong Bad was The Spanish Inquisition this year... I was close! Finding out Coach Z was dressed up as Queen Latifah at the end is what did it for me.

All and all, lots of random goodness. I love it when TBC experiement like this.

Homsar was back at top form. I've been worried about him lately, but this was classic stuff. When it said at the end that Coach Z was supposed to be Queen Latifah... oh man. He'll stop at nothing to be a poser.

Bubs as Coach McGuirk was jaw-droppingly awesome. Also recognized the Gortons fisherman and Frida Kahlo. I knew I'd seen Strong Sad, the Cheat, and Homsar's costumes before somewhere, but couldn't place them. Tony Clifton is just a really cool ref to be making, though.

Seems to be a trend comparing this unfavorably to Potion-ma-jig. Since I didn't like Potion-ma-jig at all (*GASP!*), I thought this was better than that.

Ehh.
I didn't like this one at all.
Saving grace was Bubs as Coach.

:p

I liked Strong Sad being his psychotic self, but it just seemed so short and so uninspired. Then I see it's still over 5 minutes, and I'm just confused. Though I suppose it is hard to top last years.
For the most part, REALLY obscure Halloween costumes. Pop culture, grumble grumble...

Didn't like this one that much, it felt like just a fashion show. I was hoping for another creative, interactive Halloween toon again this year.

Although, I really, really fell out of my chair laughing at "Somebody shoot me!"

I'd like to fourth the "I thought The Cheat was a Furby" thing. But I've never seen Gremlins. Actually, I didn't recognise a single costume this time. And the only one I'd heard of was Gizmo, and obviously I didn't know what it looked like.

The cartoon was pretty funny, I thought. It reminded me of Daylight Savings, since that just started in the Southern hemisphere. Seriously, went for a walk at 7:30 on Sunday night, and it was still light. it was weird.

I loved the part where Strong Sad was laughing uncontrollably. Poor guy.

Okay, I am getting why no one got that Strong Mad was the Maxx, but...

All these comments from folks who didn't know who the KoT was. Is the Gorton's Fisherman really that obscure? I used to eat Gorton's fishsticks all the time when I was younger. And I remember when the NY Islanders went to an alomst Gorton like logo.

Is the Gorton's Fisherman really a character people don't recognize? I would've thought he was the most easily recognizable of the bunch. Gah ... I must just be getting old.

..Eh. To be honest, I wasn't that impressed at all. It just didn't seem properly formulated, just rushed along. And the Gremlins costume was the only one I got, but it's always fun to find new stuff out from the Wiki as to what everyone was wearing.

Owah. I thought Homsar was Alfalfa too, at first, but that's probably due to the fact I got 'Little Rascals' drilled into my head at primary school daycare. No, they couldn't afford any other movies apparently..
/unresolved childhood trauma

Day Of The Dead got a laugh out of me, as well as the.. not-so-spooky forest, but that's it. =/

Ah well. Fingers crossed for Decemberween.

:coachz: looks vaguely familiar
:marzi: Salma Hayek as Frida :p
:pom: That guy from the Food Network
:kot: The sailor from either the salt or the fishsticks
:poop: Tron again? Mega Man?

I liked this one, although it was odd to have a non-dark Halloween. But then, that was the point. I had a bit of trouble recognising all the costumes straight away, mind you, but I laughed mightily when it was revealed that Coach Z was Queen Latifah. I do feel a bit proud for recognising Homestar's costume at once, though :)

Even though I didn't recognise who he was supposed to be, the Homsar egg ("eggs-tree", perhaps) was great, and possibly my new favourite Homsarism. And I loved Coach Z's sound effects. And poor Strong Sad and his involuntary grinning! He's always so cute in his costumes, he needs a big cuddle.

This cartoon's great! I love the music in the end, and the Homsar Egg Tree Part was pretty funny.

But the best part was the green goblin on vacation, as if he was the king of halloween.
Also, this is the halloween cartoon with the most costumes I can identify while watching it for the first time; gizmo and the Maxx.

Favourite Parts:
- "This newsboy getup is not my Halloween costume"
- (I couldn't find the Eggs Tree easter egg)
- The Halloween Night Hovercraft Kit (something from Lackey, just with a taped on rename)
- The Cheat's Easter Egg (Meh meh! Meh MEH!)

Not as good as last year's holiday toon, but it was actually worth it last time!

Hehe. Good toon. I love Pom-Pom's costume.

It seems that TBC are starting to show their age. These guys are about my age. The Mario Batali :pom: reference from Food Network is one sign.

Did anyone get the Homestar "Doug" reference? This is probably from Trading Spaces, where they talk about what they are working on, and one of the hosts is named Doug.

love marzipan's costumes. she's never anyone that makes you laugh, she's marzipan the weirdo, so she's people she idolizes like joey ramone and frida kahlo. i actually think the frida costume was hilarious, and i liked pompom's a lot too.

plus, i dont really think mario batali is any sort of sign of showing their age. it's not like he isn't on tv or anything. and they seem to like having strange people, especially strange round people for pompom. think about his michael moore costume. oh yeah, plus Strong sad's was really great. and strong bad's line about sad being himself at his 20 year h.s. reuinion. awesome.

Am I the only one who thought Homestar's "Do broken wheelchair" line was possibly a reference to Silent Hill? (background for the confused) The wheelchair shows up frequently throughout the game accompanied by the telltale sound of its spinning wheel. But I could just be imagining things.
