Personally, I would've liked it better if it was an RPG, in the overhead style of Earthbound, and the graphical style of the latest Pokemon games (3D). Also, I would've liked it if it actually starred Homestar, not Strong Bad.

I kinda like it in the format it is in already. This way makes it look and feel like the actual cartoon. I think playing Strong Bad is probably the best choice. As the game requires you to make decisions to do things and make stupid mistakes while you are at it. Strong Bad is one of the more Balanced Characters.
:hr: Doesn't really think for himself he is just kinda lucky.
:sm: Is not a problem solver
 Is a good problem solver but is at a level that people don't really interact with him wel.
:cheat: :pom: :poop: The Non talkers. Can't give their own personal commentary on what is going on.
:bubs: Is to content to stay in stand then explore the world.
:coachz: To many problem.
:marzi: Too wrapped up in herself.
:kot: Too Occupied with food.

Strong Bad is the most balanced character and can be funny by himself, or with others. People kinda both like him and hate him at the same time allowing them to help you out or insult you depending what you do.

I dig that.
As a point and click Strong Bad is the best character for the job, but with an RPG Homestar could pull it off and the game could still have all the humorous dialogue (i.e. Earthbound) of a Point n' Click.

But what I really want is a Wacky Racing Game a la Mario Kart.
I'd like to see one person not loving that idea the instant they see it!

Meh to Mario Kart esque, I was thinking more along the lines as a more, Smash Bros esque game after the SBCG4AP series, which would be AWESOME, it could be called "Free country USA's Strong Badathlon!!!!" errrrr, or something like that.

But SBCG4AP is fine as a first person shooter, I mean Point and Click'm up!

Nice, detailed, thorough analysis! Though I do still hope Homestar can star in a game someday.

Yes, a fighting game would rock mighty hard.
*Super Smash Bros. Homestar Runner Edition!

I love the game the way it is now, especially since it feels a lot like an actual 'toon from the site, but I'd love to see another platformer like Stinkoman. Homestar Runner would do pretty well in a Sonic parody.

I remember somebody suggesting a Homestar platformer on Shwoo's forum, and I think that would be pretty awesome: maybe a bit too similar to Stinkoman 20X6 for comfort, but the latter isn't exactly overflowing in the depth section, and HR's personality makes for all sorts of potential gags.
it'd probably only be able to last one episode but w/e.

Or, how bout minigames? There's one minigame-game in particular I've always loved, and I think it would be amazing if I could play an H*R minigame even half as insane as the ones from Bishi Bashi. Already I can think up ideas for the KOT...

I would of loved for each to be a different type of game actually.
Homestar Ruiner: RPG
Strongbadia the Free: Fine the way it is.
Baddest of the Bands: One of those music, guitar hero rip-offs.
Dangeresque 3: Action/Adventure

But if they were ALL the same, I would go with RPG.

I like a more interesting game play style other than 'point the mouse/remote on an object to collect/use it on something with the exception of a mini-game or two.' type game play.

Something like Subspace game play?

I've always loved Point and Click adventure games, so it was fun for me.

I'd love the next game to have a small bit that parodies RPGS though, where you actually play an RPG-like game. It could have annoying random encounters and stereotyped characterizations, and hopefully plenty of snarky remarks from Strong Bad. :)

I don't really care, as long as the story is funny & it plays well.
