Whatever happened to the Wii games that used the D-pad, like Trogdor? Why were they taken down?

I don't know if this guy on the HRWiki talk page is right (actually I doubt he is), but he says it's because the Wii Internet channel doesn't support D-pad games.

He can't be right. WiiCade.com has games that use the D-pad. Then again, they say their API only works on their site. We know that's not true either.
