I have travelled to several small towns introducing curfews and i haven't decided how to think.
On one hand, kids perform better school because they aren't out late-it helps to control wild teens.
On the other hand,It is very negative and parents should control when their kids come home.

I don't like anything that's so restricting to the rights of young people. Growing up, I knew that I was more responsible than other kids who might go out and "get into trouble," and it made me angry that I had to suffer the same punishment as my less-than-mature counterparts. Restrictions like curfews just automatically assume that no child is mature or responsible enough to make intelligent decisions. Most kids aren't as dumb as parents are wont to think, and to punish all of them for the actions of a few (which could usually be caused by bad parenting in the first place) is just wrong, IMO.

I think what is amazing about this is that it raises alot of other questions.
What do we trust kids with?
What is the job of the parent?
Should the law decide what time you turn in?

It's the job of the parents to decide their kids' curfews, not the law. Parents know what's best for their kids.

Negatively.I was doing a piece on this when i used to help out my friends vlog we went to a small town where a curfew was and a mother witha 16 year old son said"I can't have an eye on him when he leaves the house, i may be his parent but i think we need help to control rebellious kids"
I asked her if she ever snuck out as a kid and she said"Yeah but times are changing"
After i persisted she asked me to leave.
Parents at many times speak of rebellious kids leaving home stealing beer and such...when in reality that was them at 16 too.Oh bitter hypocrisy.

I went running at 2 AM last week Wednesday... whoops. Anyways, I am kind of happy for our city curfew. There were some really bad TP-ers (not the fun kind, the kind that destroy property of people they don't even know) a while back, and they ended up in jail for a short time. I wish parents would take care of their own kids, but I guess they couldn't be trusted in that case. However, I don't want to get busted if I ever run after midnight again, cause it's too freakin' hot during the day, so I guess the curfew has downsides too.

No, I suppose there isn't a fair way to choose who gets a curfew and who can be trusted... we're all stuck with the same rules.

Without sparking controversy or annoyance.It was funny when i was in this town i stayed up to see if there were people on the street after curfew and there were.The polica can't arrest a gang of drunk thugs out after dark.At least not the scouting forces the police deployed.

Legally speaking, they can. Being Drunk in public, in many places, is a crime (Just ask Ron White). It might take more than a cop or two to arrest them, but legally speaking, they have the right to arrest them if they are drunk (In pub-lic).

I was stating strictly legally speaking. Yes, it would be hard, and that's why possibly beefing up the police force for night patrols could help.

Just kidding. I am neutral against a curfew. Sure, it might lower vandalism, but it will impede kids with good intentions.
