Why shouldn't they portray innocent murder? Are you one of those people who honestly believes that videogames contributes to violence?

Nice straw man you're constructing there.

I specifically said I do not play or support video games in which the player is encouraged to commit murder of innocent people. And yes, I do believe that such video games tend to sensitize people to such violent behaviors. But that's a far cry from your attempt to simplify my view.

But just in case you missed it, my complaint was that such a portrayal is very disrespectful and in very poor taste. I find it no less distasteful than that "Ethnic Cleansing Game" Cola cited.

I really hope that you, COLA and GWN, keep your conversation to yourselves from now on. And enough with the freakin' pyramid quotes already, COLA. You've been told many times.

Sorry about the double post. New here, pretty much came just to defend the game.

Revenge fantasies are not "teen angst"? Man, I must be insane then. I think about it constantly, not just on a particular person, but on them all.

Is being desensitized against violence bad? If paramedics and police were really sensitive to violence, could they get their jobs done? I ask you to continue this conservation on MSN messenger, if you have one please. Personal message me your mail adress, and I will add you quickly.

Then my advice to you is to seek help. Talk to your school counselor, or even see a pastor or private counselor, as soon as you possibly can.

Have you ever looked inward at yourself? Perhaps you are to blame for your angst. Seriously, a lot of people are hung up on blaming others. Yes, others are to blame for the crap in our lives, but most of the time, the person dealing with the crap is just as much to blame.

Revenge is stupid. It solves nothing.

Several years ago, I decided to channel the frustration I was having with the way I was being treated into something creative. There is no better motivation in life to make something of yourself than to know that there is someone who will be upset at every second of your success.

Yes, I guess I could have been nicer and tried to win them over to friends, but I cant trust people not to betray me and spread lies. Lies are my daily life. A kid I know created a "(middle name of mine, which I go by) is gay" Club. Over half of the kids (about 500) joined that club. So yeah, I think that they are orginally to blame, but I just stepped it up to a whole new level.

Thank you for that very insightful (and by insightful I mean pretty much meaningless) post. Have you ever seen a counselor at all? If so, and if they did actually prescribe pills, did it ever occur to you that maybe you actually needed them?

And if not, then your characterization of the mental health industry is completely unjustified.

Furthermore, you might happen to note I mentioned seeing a pastor as well. The last time I checked, we weren't exactly authorized to prescribe medications. Aside from that, the reality is that this is just as much a spiritual issue as a mental health issue.

So basically, it seems to me that you wish to reject any help that might be offered.

Thank you for the insult. Yes, I keep on seeing counselors, and they keep recommending a doctor to speak to me (sidebar?: How do you spell physcologist?) They prescribe pills, but I swear I will never take them. The doctors aren't really trying to push them onto me either. "just take if you feel really stressed out and sad"
Do I need them? For what?

Ok, this topic is getting way too out of control. Time to pull a lockinator right here.
