My univercity paper is usually quite dumb and uninformative. I usually only peruse the front page, opinion page, world and national headlines, and do the crossword (cheating only a little big ;) ) Today the front page was the usual watered down day old crap, and the opinion page was particularly uninsightful, but the world and national headlines were great.

I share them with you... with a small commentary.

Fort Myer Beach, FLA.
Police found 26-year-old Jeremy Miljour naked, breaking windows and asking women to touch him. When Miljour fled, Cpl. Matt Chitwood fired a Taser gun. One of the prongs accidentally hit Miljour in the genitals and was stuck. Miljour was treated at a jospital and charged with indecent exposure, resisting an officer and criminal damage.

classic...

Santa, Idaho
As the 115-person town's only official body, the water board voted Monday to rename the town Secretsanta.com to hype a new Web site.

those crazy spuds!!

Rome
A fugitive trying to flee from police Monday slipped into a church where a congregation of police officers allowed him to join in the service before taking him into custody.

oops

and finally on a little more serious note, in reflection of the holidays,

London
The last known surviving soldier who witnessed the World War I Christmas Truce in 1914 with German soldiers died Monday at the age of 109 according to his Parish Priest. The Christmas Truce happened when soldiers from both sides ceased fire and came out of the trenches to sing Christmas carols together.

Hope you like them as much as I did.

Ah, I heard about that one. "Yes, Virginia. Santa has sold out."

I see you haven't played Twilight Princess. Why is that?

I got to the water dungeon thing and got bored.

WOW. You just lost the very little respect I had left for you.

I have to feel sorry for that Jeremy guy. While what he did was wrong, what happened to him was more than enough punishment.

Yah, I'm surprised he didn't sue for that....I mean it could have done damage to his goods....
