Logan Whitehust was an independent artist that died of a brain tumor at the age of 29, just a few weeks ago. His music has really been an influence on my stuff as of late, and I wish he would have lived longer.

He had an impact on many people, including Neil Cicierega, or Lemon Demon, and an independent filmaker, Jason Steele. Jason set up an archive for his music, which includes everything except his last 2 albums, Goodbye My 4-Track, and The Very Tiny Songs album, which are on sale in a few places, including iTunes, and the proceeds go to his family.

Check his stuff out- http://juniorscienceclub.com

Pretty good stuff, 'tis a shame he died so young.

This might sound weird, but I always appreciate music (and all art) from those who are dead or gone. It just makes you love the music that much more - like now that they're gone you have to like the stuff they put out, because it's so much more precious. Looking back, lots of my favorite stuff is like that - Neutral Milk Hotel, Calvin & Hobbes.

Aw, man. I loved "Monkeys are Bad People." It is a great song.
