Oy, I just remembered Valentine's Day before last, and why it was depressing... (A very Strong Sad moment.)

Valentines day is only fun if you embarrass your friend with a serenade or get a rose or something.

I got to school today, and two year eighters came running up to me screaming, "Happy Valentines Day, JD!", to which I replied, "Oh crap, it's Valentines day?"

Yes, I am an idiot.

Aah, it wasn't much... I'll relate the tale to you all. It's not long.

Set the time to my junior year of high school. There was this girl I had a crush on, Kelly... (Extremely long story about her that I don't care to share here and now. This is just once incident in the saga.)
Well, you know how schools do all sorts of fund raisers all year? Like the band sells candy or the cheerleaders sell lollipops or they sell tickets to their dances? Well, in this case, they were selling lollipop valentines. Little valentines with a lollipop attached, that they would then deliver to the person. $0.50 each. Good deal, right?
Only catch (for me)?
The girl in charge of taking your money and delivering them was, in fact, none other than Kelly, the very girl I wished to send one to. o_O
As such, I never sent her one. Le sigh.

I forgot too. Friends told me on the train, and I was like, WHA? VALENTINES DAY?

This year, I'm going to go home and play video games and be on the internet and try not to let out my inner emo child. :p

But seriously, I'm thinking this is the day I should start leaving little clues to her(a few people know who she is.)

Gragh. I don't have anyone to give stuff to. But I did hang out with the girl I like all day Sunday...

And my youth group is doing a dinner date type of thing next week, so that'll be fun.

Blarghg. I still wish I had a girlfriend, though.

Valentine's Day. Ugh. I guess it's time to admit I've got on a pink shirt and a bag of Hershey's Kisses in my backpack. I've also got no signifigant other. And I'm okay with all that. I hope everybody out there with somebody gets some hot lovin'.

I'm playing one of my least favorite games: Where's the FedEx Truck?

It involves me sitting here (my computer desk is conveniently located by the front windows) and glancing outside every six seconds to see whether the FedEx truck is here yet. You see, my girlfriend's Valentine's/birthday gift is on that truck, and I can't take a shower until it's come for fear of missing it. Lame.

Yes, for God's sake, don't miss the fed ex truck... Nothing good can happen when you do. (I still hate Fed Ex)

Hooray, the truck came and I didn't miss it!

Apple really has a way with slick packaging. But I may embellish it with some candy hearts or something.

You artsy-fartsy guys make it hard on us normal dudes!! Of course, I did make Holly's gift at "Build A Bear", so maybe I'm not such a slacker.

By "embellish with" what I really meant was "fill the empty parts of the box with." Don't worry, I'm not breaking out the hot glue gun or anything.

I told the boyfriend that St Valentine's is just a commercial trap, and that he shouldn't get me anything.

I hope for his sake that he wasn't taking me seriously.

Well if he is then for Valentine's Day, you give him a sign that says "I'm Stupid" and tell him, with love, "Here's your sign". :p

You mean it isn't? I always thought it was a way for the greeting card people to make enough money to take over he world.

Heh. I'm a high school senior and one of my teachers is having us do a little Valentine's exchange anyway. He's so cool. XD I got Valentines with dinosaurs on 'em. And they came with cool motion stickers! (I'm hoarding all those I didn't use...)
They still do that in highschool? I can't remember when was the last time I did something like that....

Well, my teacher did, for a bit of nostalgia. They don't regulate it any more, but lots of people still give them out on their own for fun.

My fav part of valentines day is the conversation hearts. The hard ones that hurt to bite, not the soft chalk-y tasting ones.

Heh, I've got a bag of them on my lap right now. They're leftovers from the afforementioned embellishment of my girlfriend's gift. There are some pretty funny ones, but the best one by far said "BEEP ME."

I sent my gf a card. I was also thinking of composing a song, though I have to try to avoid the corniness factor.

I love those heart shaped antacids! They are the greatest. I didn't get any this year, though. Still the best V-Day candy there is.

Roffle. There are plenty of ways I could take that... I'll take it in the kidlet friendly way and ask "Who uses pagers nowadays?".

I think I'm gonna go out with a couple of my friends tonight. A local bar is having a "Not Valentine's Day" thing where they are pretty much doing the same thing they do every night. It's not a date type place, so we should be safe from that mushy stuff. We're gonna go shoot some pool, listen to some music, and partake of some liquid bread. Woot.

Yeah, I wasn't sure how to take it, but it sure made me laugh. Interestingly, there was also one that said "PAGE ME." I guess they wanted to make sure all their bases were covered.

When I was younger, and when I didn't want to give valentines to girls and make them think I liked them, I hated Valentines Day. And now that in Junior High only certain people give valentines to certain people like who they are dating, I hate it more cause I don't have a girlfriend.
