Newgrounds user Shadow-Panda made a music video of Ebay by Weird Al. It has a picture of Homestar as one of the items bought off of Ebay, out of its box as the camera pans through the items.

There is a game called "Homestar Hunt" on Newgrounds, where you chase Homestar and shoot him.

Also, in the first episode of the cartoon trilogy Kingdom Hearts Chronicles there is a reference to Homestar, in the scene in which Sora enters a cave there is a carved etch of Homestar Runner on the wall.

In addition, there is a game called "Yeowi the Pervert" on Newgrounds in which the Entrance theme of the Brothers Strong is randomly chosen during gameplay.

In the December 24, 2003 edition of the letters page Scribes, one letter states:

Can you answer emails in Flash like Strong Bad does? I think it would be funny because we could all hear you speak with an English accent, which us North Americans find amusing. :) Also, we could hear you groan when you get a bad one, like those other e-mails you get... you know, the ones that aren't sent by me.

The response:

British accent, Arse, British accent. Anyway, no. That would be a terrible error.

  • In the RiffTrax of the Harrison Ford movie Firewall, Mike Nelson quips as Harrison Ford works at a computer, "Now that I've watched every single Strong Bad Email..."
  • In the Troll 2 RiffTrax, guest riffer Lowtax comments on a particularly 80s-sounding midi loop playing in one scene, asking "Are they listening to the soundtrack of a Homestar Runner cartoon in there?"

Strong Bad, Homestar, Strong Mad, The Cheat and Marzipan appear as grotesque caricatures in Tub Bites vol. 2.. The computer used in the toon appears to be a parody of the Compy 386. The first email is "Recycle Binned!". Homestar returns Strong Bad's "'80s reference" (a Tag Team Wrestling cartridge), as well as some of his "crappy catchphrases" (the one used as an example is "holy crap!"). Also, this is reprised with a parody of a "How do you type with boxing gloves on?"-style Strong Bad email in Karnov Bites.

  • The Easter egg in Tub Bites 2 is a parody of Marzipan's Answering Machine, featuring calls from parodies of Strong Bad, the King of Town, Homsar, Coach Z and Strong Sad.

The update of March 1, 2007, Steve's Movie Review Blog, contains reference to the Strong Bad Emails. The article is written as if the writer is unfamiliar with internet trends; he writes that he just discovered the site, thinks the cartoon's title is "The Strong Bads", and thinks its web address is www.strongbad.com.

Homestar appears in Funny Housemates 2 and Funny Housemates 999. He looks like Homestar, but acts more like Homsar.

On October 22, 2010, Homestar Runner cast is featured in Photoshop Phriday as Abstract Pixel Art [11]

Before delievering his speech. The creators, Collin Weiler and Harvey Alan, are big fans of Homestar Runner.

Other episodes contain references as well, but this one is the most obvious.

The Straight Dope

The StrongBadZone was submitted for Weird Earl's on The Straight Dope, a category featuring strange and/or awesome sites.

Stick RPG 2

On the news post for May 17 (of what year?), there is a line that says "what are you using, a 386?", with "386" being a link to invisibility.

Stick Shorts

On this site, episode 11 includes a short that is about a guy who sees Homestar, and kicks him, which results in Homestar falling on the guy. This is also a coincidence, since this series is created by Teh Cartoonist Productions like Charlie Clay and the Clay Crew. Even the Homestar sprite is the same as the one used in Charlie Clay.
