Albino Blacksheep

Notice The following website is outside of www.hrwiki.org and contains crude or vulgar language and/or content. Personal discretion is advised.

On AlbinoBlackSheep.com, there are many sightings embedded in its user-created flash cartoons. For example, on one particular Animutation, there is a screenshot from "StrongBadZone", where "STINY! GET ME A DANISH!" can be heard.

Additionally, the filename of the aforementioned Animutation is a giveaway that the creator is a fan of Homestar Runner. [1]

Other animations on the website that have references in them include:

In Animator vs. Animation Strong Bad's Big Knife is drawn then scribbled out.

Albuquerque: Part 1

In part 1 of Albuquerque (a song by "Weird Al" Yankovic) animutation collabration, watch during the scene where "Jay Jay the Jet Plane" crashes into the ground and there is a shot of all the people who "died" (except for Colin Mochrie who put his chair in the upright position and folded up his tray table), notice that Stinkoman is one of the people who "died".

AMV Hell 3:The Motion Picture

  • In this gigantic montage (1 hour!) of humorous and nonsensical anime clips, Ikari Shinji and Kensuke Aida from Neon Genesis Evangelion can be heard singing the song from an Easter egg in Teen Girl Squad Issue 5 in one segment.
  • Additionally, earlier in the video, a segment of the CGNU Fight Song from mascot is played with a clip from Azumanga Daioh.

AMV Hell 4

  • A segment of the Trogdor song is played during a clip from Spirited Away.

Arfenhouse 4!!!!

After the parody Pac-Man trailer, a Notepad text document icon is seen talking to a Flash file icon. Another Flash file appears on screen with Strong Bad's facial design, and titled SBEMAIL 48572.SWF. It can be seen here.

Artificial High 3

In one scene, the message "Computer Over. Virus = very yes" shows up. In another scene, Strong Bad is checking an unknown email.

Bonus Stage

  • In "Car" (v1), there is an Easter egg at the end. Click on the note on the box. There is a reference to Homestar Runner on the note.
  • In "Recap", there is a passing reference to Strong Bad making video games. This episode came out not long after the email video games, so that's probably what it refers to.
  • In "Morbid" (v1), Joel dies and goes to hell. Phil and Elly then die so they can rescue him, and while there, they meet Strong Bad, Homestar, and Coach Z. Apparently, Strong Bad got sick of the 'boxing glove emails' and jumped into a lake of fire, and Homestar and Coach Z followed. After they rescue Joel, Phil starts typing on a Compy 386 about how Bubs won the race, and Strong Sad shows up. (This episode was later removed, then changed in order to avoid legal trouble.) Despite the episode being changed, the season 2 intro still features the removed Strong Sad clip.
  • In the Easter egg in "2 Pack", they prank call someone who is supposed to be Strong Bad, but turns out to just be someone doing an impression of Strong Bad.
  • In "Virtual Candy", there is a commercial for a candy called "Kandy Commandoz". A small disclaimer flashes across the screen proclaiming "Not a ripoff of Homestar Runner", referring to Cheat Commandos.
  • In "Five Minute Story Hour", the protagonist (who is a laptop) is referred to "Lappy" throughout the episode.

Bush Bash

On this flash animation at tlchicken.com, a picture of President Bush and a flaming Earth that says "Burninating the Peasants since 2000" can be seen.

Bloo toons

In episode three, one bloo is dressed as Homestar Runner.

Cartoon'd

The name itself is a reference to Teen Girl Squad, especially its tendency to add a "-'d" to the end of words, and in the second episode the cartoon is affected by a virus. There's a reference to Homestar Runner in which one of the main characters is stuck on a page from StrongBadZone with the caption "Your head a splode" then he is knocked over. Also, another main character is stuck on a desktop where we can see a Homestar icon. In addition, the entire cartoon is based on the HRWiki forums. Lastly, when they are fighting, one of the characters uses an attack called "Foot in Mouth Disease", which may be a reference to Bug in Mouth Disease. However, this phrase (in and of itself a pun on Foot and Mouth Disease) has been in use for many years, having been used to describe poor verbal choices by Bill Clinton, George Bush and a host of others. Thus the relationship to Homestar Runner is questionable.

Channel Frederator

The website hosts a series called Meth Minute 39, animated by Dan Meth. The first short is Internet People, which celebrates (in song form) various Internet celebrities, series and memes. Homestar Runner is shown several times and mentioned in the song.

Dan Meth's next series is called Nite Fite. Starting with the 4th episode, there is a promo at the end for the subscribing to the series on iTunes. On the computer, the Homestar Runner "Seriously" wallpaper is visible.

In Episode 165 of the main podcast, the cartoons are described as being "AWEXOMECROSS!".

In Episode 195, when playing the guitar, the FredBot says he has the case of the "meedlies".

Checkerboard Nightmare

A webcomic parodying and satirizing other webcomics also took a stab at Internet animation in late 2004 with this Flash, featuring the main character replying to an email in Strong Bad-esque fashion with clickable words. (Note that to get the flash work properly you need to download it on your computer and change the extension into SWF)

Chris.exe

Homestar makes a cameo in episode "Chris, Zanda and the treasure of Captain No Beard" of the popular flash series chris.exe

ClaveMan

ClaveMan (Episode 1) - A Dino Wax Production. Claveman poses as Homestar as one of his disguises to obtain free Popeye's biscuits.

Curly Sam Pwnz All

In this short intentionally badly animated cartoon, Curly Sam brings his friend, Wonchop some mates. Among these is The Ugly One. The cartoon also ends with the classic, "It's Over" message from Teen Girl Squad.

Decline of Video Gaming 2

In this animation, there are slight references to Homestar Runner, particularly Trogdor. While watching it, put on creator's notes.

Dr. Wily Shorts Collection

At planet-megaman.com, there is a flash animation called "Dr. Wily Shorts Collection." Clicking on Dr. Wily's shorts will cause a short animation of Strong Bad and Homestar to pop up.

Ducktales: The Auditions

In this follow-up to the internet "Ducktales" series, Homestar Runner shows up as the fifth audition for the part of Scrooge McDuck.

Ebolaworld

Notice The following website is outside of www.hrwiki.org and contains crude or vulgar language and/or content. Personal discretion is advised.

  • At Ebolaworld.com, there is a Weekly Update titled Halloween Special. Taco-Man hosts a costume party for Halloween and Homestar makes an appearance at the very end. Watch it here.
  • In the second part of the 2004 Viewers Choice Award Program-Related Activities Show, a crowd of many cartoon characters can be seen. Among them is Homestar Runner. Watch it here.
  • On July 3, 2005, a cartoon called Ask Taco-Man was released. Taco-Man received many emails, 3 of which he read, regarding how the cartoon ripped off Strong Bad Emails. Homestar Runner appeared at the end, mistaking Taco-Man for Strong Bad. The Paper also came down at the end of the cartoon. Watch it here.
    • In Ask Taco-Man #3, a parody of the 1940s Public Service Announcements, the narrator tells Billy not to address Taco-Man as "Strongbad."(sic)
  • In the 4th part of the 2006 Viewers Choice Award Program-Rlated Activities Show, Tacoman takes out frustrations on a dead hacker and one of those frustrations listed is "Homestarrunner's popularity." [2]
  • In "Night Trap" there is a part when Grandpa and grandma check the guests, go outside, then right when grandma and grandpa are standing in the stairs, quickly switch to the bedroom, then Homestar will appear in the screen for a brief moment. It can be seen here.

Experiments and Crap

  • In Episode 5, there are numerous references to Trogdor and -'d words in the subtitles.
  • In Episode 5.5, Trogdor makes a brief appearance toward the end.
  • A lot of titles to newsposts make some Homestar Runner reference.

Evil Josh & Billy

  • In Episode 4, E-vil, the phrase "It's Dot Com!" can be seen written on a wall.
  • Also, in the episode The Moonster Mash, Evil Josh shouts "Hang on tight, The Billy! We're blasting off to the MOOOOOOOOOOON!", referencing Strong Bad in personal favorites.
  • In episode 8, Marshie appears and is roasted over a fire.

Foo-La-La

In one part of this Animutation, a screenshot from Homestar vs. Little Girl is briefly shown. (see the animutation here)

Forum Stage

On the main page, the description for episode 1 is "Idiot gets sucked into the internet creating a cartoon so bad, Homestar Runner died." It can be seen here.

Fred the Monkey

The man (or rather space chicken) behind the mailbag, Sceb!
  • Like Homestar Runner, the site features a "First Time Here"-video and a mailbag, very much like Strong Bad's email, and in the sixteenth mailbag, he comments on how he gets a lot of emails from people pretending to be Strong Bad. Another similarity is that certain characters are able to pick up and manipulate objects without having visible arms. However, in one of the earlier mailbags, it is explicitly explained that these characters do in fact possess psychic powers.
  • In the second mailbag, the sender asks Sceb if he has ever been to Homestarrunner.com.
  • In the Spiderman 2 movie review, Fred enters at the end wearing a Strong Bad mask.
  • In the thirty first mailbag, Sceb gets an email from "Stongbad 64".

One of them has the Homestar Runner main page displayed on its monitor. The end also borrows "Because, It's Midnite" and credits Limozeen. Additionally, when they are talking about how Samus is defenseless without her suit, zoom in on the second shelf to see a book, "The Homestar Runner Enters the Strongest Man in the World Contest". Finally, at the beginning when they say, "We still have dessert!" and hold up the cookies, the sound when 1-up finishes his level in Stinkoman 20X6 is heard.
  • In Metroid Confusion Part 2, when right-clicking, one option is "Send Trogdor to my House". At the end of the movie, if the viewer clicks on the fine print giving homestarrunner.com some credit, there is a funny Homestar-Metroid crossover. They also mention "E3 20X6". In addition to all of that, if the commentary is watched, it mentions that the creator of these toons got the inspiration for the "Claymation Simulator" from Strong Mad's Doug the Dino in the facts. Also, in Fox McCloud's drawing, there is a book called "TROGDOR The Musical". The back of the book reads, "The Burninator himself stars in his first-ever musical that won three Academy awards and a couple of free coffees at Starbucks. One disguise is the King of Town, complete with crown, beard and mustache. Also, the name listed for that "friend" is "City Sovren" [sic], a parody of the name "King of Town".
