Image upload

Why on Earth was there a problem with the uploading of the images from my Wikipedia userpage? Booksworm 13:04, 18 June 2006 (UTC)

The problem is that every user is only allowed 2 personal images (plus a small one for their sig). That was about eight images, six more than is allowed. --DorianGray

Abusing the system

Hello again, x-Spider2. First of all: It is highly discouraged to have internal redirects on your user space. Second of all: Did you know that some of the 1.6 features like rando were disabled on Wikipedia because of user abuse? That option was designed to better articles, not desplaying random messeges on your user page. Other users have previously contacted you concerning Recent Changes flooding, showing page previews, user page editing and image uploading, and now this. Your user page is long and complicated enough as it is. While you still confirm to the guidelines, you are very close to breaking them. Please review your actions and read closely to what other advise you. As I told you before - Your knowledge of HTML and wiki-syntax can be valuable to the wiki if you will only use it on main space articles. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 09:51, 21 June 2006 (UTC)

Sorry about the subpage, but it just seems a waste to only be using the random syntax for Template:Homsar Quote. --Y2K (15px-Crystal_Clear_app_xchat.png15px-Crystal_Clear_app_kedit.png15px-Crystal_Clear_app_email.png) 05:13, 22 June 2006 (UTC)
HomsarQuotes was built before that was available, actually. But you're missing the point. The point is to get out of your user space. This isn't a webhosting service. Besides that, nobody is ever going pay attention to anyone else's user page to the extent that you're putting effort into yours, so all the time you're pumping into it could be spent making the rest of the wiki better, never mind the fact that pages on this wiki should ideally be designed to look good (or at least passable) on any browser using any resolution. I don't know many who use a resolution as large as your recommendation, and not for lack of trying. — It's dot com 05:20, 22 June 2006 (UTC)
