Hey TobyTheRobot, I saw your edit summary and thought I'd let you know that HRWiki style actually dictates that we don't follow the usual American standard for putting periods and commas inside quotation marks. See [[HRWiki:Manual_of_Style#Quotation_marks|this]]. So, that's why things are written that way. Talk atcha later, {{User:Heimstern Läufer/sig}} 16:55, 27 January 2006 (UTC)

Informat Welcome!

Welcome to the wiki Toby! I liked your recent edit on secret identity. Again, welcome! (informally). --Stux 19:13, 25 January 2006 (UTC)

Thanks buddy! I've actually been around for a few months now, doing the odd format and prose edit. I'm don't have the ambition/patience to make new pages or sweeping edits, but I am a grammar and readability Nazi, so I help where I can. It's nice to get some recognition, though. :) Thanks again! --TobyTheRobot 19:22, 25 January 2006 (UTC)

Ah! Makes sense! Grammar and readability (er) Nazis are welcome here! It didn't occur for me to check this page's history to see if you'd been welcomed before. Oh well, alas, again (for the third time) welcome! --Stux 19:35, 25 January 2006 (UTC)

Periods and quotation marks

Hey TobyTheRobot, I saw your edit summary and thought I'd let you know that HRWiki style actually dictates that we don't follow the usual American standard for putting periods and commas inside quotation marks. See this. So, that's why things are written that way. Talk atcha later, Heimstern Läufer 16:55, 27 January 2006 (UTC)

Well, don't I feel foolish. Can I ask why that is? Is putting punctuation outside of quotes standard elsewhere in the English speaking world? Is my way just "American?" I mean-- "American"?
