Welcome {{subst:PAGENAME}}!

My name is Dacheatbot and welcome to the Homestar Runner Wiki! We're glad to have you as a member. If you need any help, feel free to ask anyone on the welcoming committee. You can also post questions on the FAQ talk page.

Here are some tips to get you started:

  • If you need general information, editing tips, or answers to frequently asked questions, check out the help page.
  • Before you do any significant editing, be sure to familiarize yourself with our wiki standards.
  • Read up on the rules and guidelines for your user space.
  • If you're not sure what you can do to help out, head over to The Stick.
  • To practice editing, go over to the sandbox.
  • When you post a comment on a talk page you should sign it: just type 3 ~s to get a sig, 4 ~s to get your sig and time, and 5 ~s to just get the time. So 3 ~s = The Teach!, 4 ~s = The Teach! 19:39, 25 April 2024 (UTC), and 5 ~s = 19:39, 25 April 2024 (UTC).
  • If you're looking for more community interaction, you can also register over at our forum.
  • I strongly sugguest visting The Chat Channel, It's a great place to come and chat and get quick answers to your questions.
  • If you have a problem I cannot answer or help with (like a troll or vandal), there is a sysop or administrator that most likely can.
  • If you need help not on the Help page, leave a note on my talk page
  • Above all, be sure to be bold (and maybe italic...(maybe both!)) and have fun!

Feel free to delete this message when you're done reading it. After all, your user space belongs to you. I hope this information is helpful, and that you'll have a good experience contributing to our knowledge-base and our community.

Sincerely,

Poster

Hey, that poster image is either not working or is taking a ridiculous amount of time to load. Could you maybe reduce the file size a little? I'm thinking that'd make it more useful. Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 14:37, 10 April 2006 (UTC)

yeah I know. I took that image off the page.
If you add an image, you should mark it with a template. (See HRWiki:Personal images for all you need to know here.) As you don't want to use that poster one, you should change it from a personal image to an abandoned one. Remember, only 2 personal images! Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 15:03, 10 April 2006 (UTC)
Hi The Teach, it seems Qermaq informed you earlier, but you currently now have One, Two, Three, Four personal images. Please mark for deletion with {{delete|<reason for deletion>}}<nowiki> ''at least two'' of the images, and in the future do not upload additional personal images if you are at your maximum. Please make room for new images by marking for deletion either one or both of your personal images ''first''. Thank you. {{User:Thunderbird L17/Siggie}} 16:19, 10 April 2006 (UTC) ::::I noticed you took the personal image templates off of two of the images. I take that to mean you wish for those images to be deleted? I'll go ahead and delete them, but in the future please replace <nowiki>{{personal-image|The Teach!}} with {{delete|uploader requests deletion}} or something, so the sysops know what you want done with them. Thanks, Thunderbird 16:37, 10 April 2006 (UTC)

delete?

how do i delete them myself?

Only sysops are able to delete pages and images, as well as do certain other advanced functions. However marking an image with {{delete|<insert reason for deletion here}} (Or {{tobedeleted|<insert reason for deletion here>}} for a page up for deletion} will catch the eye of a sysop, who will delete them for you pretty swiftly. Let us know if you have any other questions, and welcome to the wiki.

P.S. Another helpful hint, is that it's incouraged that you can sign your posts on talk pages with ~~~~, so that we know who the message is from. Thunderbird 16:46, 10 April 2006 (UTC)

Signature

Hey there, The Teach!. I just wanted to inform you that your signature is breaking the signature guidelines "Your total signature size can only be one line, and limited to around 20 or 25 characters. In other words, it must fit inside this box". Currently, your signature takes up more than one line-height. Please make necessary changes. Thank you. — Lapper (talk) 20:45, 25 April 2006 (UTC)

I noticed you uploaded a new revision of your image, which isn't very clear. I would reccomend reverting the image to the larger revision, and putting a pixel limit in your sig. In other words, where you have [[Image:Lil' teach.png]], make it [[Image:Lil' teach.png|20px]]. That should make it clearer, while still being small enough. Though your text is still quite tall, that should solve your image issues. Thunderbird 21:16, 25 April 2006 (UTC)
Just confirming, you're done with this image now, right? Thunderbird 21:56, 25 April 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, I think I'm pretty much done wth it.TheTeach! 22:04, 25 April 2006 (UTC)

HI

Just, Hi. --TheThin 13:11, 29 April 2006 (UTC)

Well, Hi to you too! -TheTeach! 13:14, 29 April 2006 (UTC)

Subpage

This user thing is a stub. I can probably help the myself by expanding it.

Hi The Teach. Just thought you should know, not only did that not meet subpage criteria, but it was not even within your userspace. Please keep subpages limited to purposes outlined in the link, thanks. Thunderbird 21:38, 2 May 2006 (UTC)

I noticed you again tried to create a stub template in a subpage. Though for "testing a template, make it a separate subpage", that is limited to system templates that might eventually be moved to the Template: namespace, not for fun userpage templates. Please do not recreate it again. Thunderbird 21:59, 2 May 2006 (UTC)
