Welcome to The Homestar Runner Wiki!

Hello, and welcome to The Homestar Runner Wiki! This is the best place, as you've probably noticed, to learn about anything and everything Homestar Runner. There are a couple of things you should read up on before you really start jumping in and editing -

If you have any questions, ask them up in the HelpDesk, me, or any other of the sysops or admins ('sysop' is just a special term for someone who watches over the wiki and has a few more rights than other users). I'm sure you'll catch on quickly, and all of the users are very nice here. Feel free to delete this message when you're done reading it, and I hope you stick around and join our team. Have fun! —FireBird|Talk , The Homestar Runner Wiki Welcoming Committee

Forums

Hi there, Kinsey. You left a note on my talk pages asking me to "be a little nicer" about asking people to use the Forums for chats instead of the Wiki. I'm not trying to get on to you or anything, I'm just wondering what you thought was mean about my askings so I can fix it next time. You seem to be quite aggrivated about it, and I'm fine with that. Just thought I'd ask. Thanks! —FireBird|Talk 01:05, 16 Jun 2005 (UTC)

It's ok. I'm not that aggrivated. -Kinsey

They were mean!

Kinsey, they were mean to you on the do over discussion page! They shoulda been nicer to you!!! -SB's lover

awww. you're sweet. -Kinsey

Wow, ten years old, huh? I wish I'd had Homestar Runner when I was ten (although I did have the original Transformers and G.I. Joe back then; they were cool). Anyway, good for you for not putting up with meanness. It has no place on the wiki as far as I'm concerned. — It's dot com 18:35, 11 Jul 2005 (UTC)
P.S. Here's a quick tip: Whenever you want to sign your name, just type four tildes, like this: ~~~~. The system will automatically link to your userpage and put a timestamp next to it.
Maybe a bit abrupt, but I don't really see how anyone was mean in that discussion... But then, I have a tendency to be abrupt myself, so... --Jay (Talk) 18:38, 11 Jul 2005 (UTC)
I agree with Jay. While personal attacks and meanness have no place on this Wiki, it's probably best to develop a nice thick skin if you're going to participate on the Internet. Homestar Coderhomestar-coder-sig.gif 18:40, 11 Jul 2005 (UTC)
I definitely agree with Aurora (Homestar Coder) that you've gotta be tough to be on the Net; however, just because person A might not should have been offended, that doesn't absolve person B of wrongdoing. Perhaps there was a way person B could have made his or her point without being offensive. (I'm speaking generally here, not just about "do over".) And Jay is right when he implies that sometimes people are abrupt without meaning to be mean... which is why we must always strive to look at things from another's point of view. Constant vigilance! (In case you didn't catch the reference, that last bit was from Harry Potter. I'm just so exicted the new book is coming out this weekend!)It's dot com 18:55, 11 Jul 2005 (UTC)
Tell me about it. Don't expect many edits from me this weekend. :-) --Jay (Talk) 18:57, 11 Jul 2005 (UTC)
Moony would like to agree with It's dot com's points about the Interent. Prongs congratulates It's dot com's excellent reference. Padfoot would like to register that he cannot wait for the next Harry Potter book. Wormtail is a slimy traitor. :) Homestar Coderhomestar-coder-sig.gif 18:59, 11 Jul 2005 (UTC)
